Waking up in the middle of a huge ass room tied up to Damien and Olwethu left me grunting, annoyed and pissed, I told Olwethu not to come here but did she listen? No. Does she ever listen? No. She also woke up looking around, Damien just sat there watching us, why is he tied up?.
I tried to speak but my mouth wouldn't open, it's some kind of a paralysis, they paralysed us, my legs and my arms feel really numb. Fuck, I'm so gonna be pissed at Olwethu if we die here, there's no way we're getting out of here alive, I looked up and yep, no ways, the roof is way too high, the walls are way too far.
I tried again my tongue feeling swollen and all that came out was gibberish, I took a deep breath and stopped talking, it's not working at the moment. Olwethu stretched her neck, she's coming through, we all better come through and start fighting.
"Why did you even come here?".Damien asked clearly not paralyzed.
"To save you!".
"And we're doing a terrific job at it".
"Luke, shut up".
I chuckled at that, she just told me to shut up, the first thing she does after being paralyzed is tell me to shut up? Seriously?. We shouldn't be here, we never should have came here. Damien looked around probably looking for a way out and that look is a look of someone who is clueless, if he's clueless and he's an 'advanced human' what about us? We're just normal humans.
Olwethu pulled her hands, trying to free herself and she cussed out loud, she is always cussing. She pulled her legs and once again, gave up, there's no pulling free from these ropes, they probably taught at Amberemere on how to tie them, Damien the Hangman is just as good.
"Is there any chance of us getting out of here?".
"Yes".
Olwethu took a deep breath pulling again."Olwethu, you're hurting me".
"At least I'm doing something! All you're doing is sitting there, today just keeps getting better and better, I never should have came to your place".
And she chuckled shaking her head, oh, here goes. Okay, I would have chosen someone else to be kidnapped with not Olwethu Nkosi who is more pissed at me than at the fact that we're being kidnapped.
"Can we not talk about that now?".
"No, can we talk about that? Because if I'd just stayed at home, none of this would have happened or maybe if your girlfriend had come on a different day, she could have waited".
"Olwethu...".
"What was I even thinking? Of course you moved on, why wouldn't you?".
"I don't get why you're mad, you broke up with me, Olwethu".
She chuckled."I wanted you to fight for me, Luke but you never did".
"I did, Olwethu but you kept pushing me away".
"Oh my god! Luke, a serial killer had just tried to kill me, he hurt me not only physically but also mentally, I hated men!".
"And I tried, Olwethu, I tried to fight for you but I preferred you happy without me than sad with me".
"All I wanted was you, Luke, I only wanted you to tell me I was okay, that everything was going to be okay".
She chuckled looking away. That man took everything away from me, he took her away from me all I want now is to hold her and tell her everything will be alright but she would punch me. I just stared at her, she looked back at me and the pain in her eyes, brought all the memories back, how alive she once was and how all it took was a couple of hours and it changed her.
The Hangman case brought her back and now Amberemere and Zuzu took her back, Zuzu, my sweet friend Zuzu, I never should have let her come by.
I found the sugarcane farm, Olwethu Nkosi will be the death of me, I will kill her myself when I find her, I told her to stop chasing after this serial killer, she's not a cop. I parked my car and got out waiting for my backup, if he is not here Captain will lose his shit and I will not take Olwethu out for three whole months. Fuck back up, they'll catch up with me.
Sugarcane fields are complicated, I need to make sure I don't lose my way back to the car, otherwise I'll die here and screams made me lose my direction. I stopped, listening again and my heart started racing, a woman screamed again, I pulled out my gun and started running towards the screams and a man cut her again and again she screamed.
Olwethu. I pulled the trigger once and he fell off of her, I got ready to shoot again and back up arrived earlier this time and they took my gun. My knees got weak, I stumbled to her and I pressed my hands on her neck then down to her chest not knowing what to do.
The blood stains on my clothes never got off, I still see them when I get dressed, I still remember everyday, I almost lost her to death and now I lost her to life. Damien stood up pulling the rope and it teared off making both Olwethu and I stare at him.
"You could do that, all along?".Olwethu asked annoyed.
He walked up to us and pulled out a knife cutting off the rope, I got up frisking my body and they took everything, my gun included, shit, I need that gun back or Captain will have my head for breakfast.
"Stay behind me".
"What's the plan?". Olwethu asked holding Damien's waist.
I shouldn't be getting jealous at a time like this but I just pulled her back holding her hand, she looked down at our hands then up at me before she tried to pull it free, I held her tight. She sighed and gave up, we're both stubborn.
"To get you out of here".
"What about you?".
"I have to get you out of here".
"And I'm not leaving you here".
He stopped turning around looking at her."I wasn't asking you".
"Neither was I".
"I can't leave her here, so I guess I'm also staying".
She looked at me and slightly smiled, I would do anything to keep her happy, I want to give her the world and Damien pushed us both back against the wall and the room turned red with lasers. I slid down the wall letting go of Olwethu's hand, the lasers are not on the floor.
"I can crawl to the door but I don't think I can open it".
"I can".
"But you can't crawl to the door, your ass would get cut off".
"Seriously?".
"Yes, dead serious".
Damien took a deep breath before jumping to the door punching it flying off the wall and we both just looked at each other.
"Or he can just do that".
He then punched the wall, breaking a few of the lasers, Olwethu and I got down and crawled to him, he took Olwethu's hand pulling her up and she smiled. I'm going to shoot one of them, Damien to be exact.
