I took a deep breath looking myself in the mirror. This is your family, you don't wanna be here but you have no choice. I screamed throwing my face in the sink, shutting the thoughts out. Damien pulled me back lifting me off the floor carrying me to the bedroom, I raised my brows as far up as they could go, what the hell is he doing?.
"What's happening? What are you doing?".
"I thought you were hurt".
"I'm not hurt, I'm just frustrated, put me down, now, please, thank you".
"Right, sorry".
He let go of me, sending me flying to the bed, I looked up at him, he turned around and I stood up fixing the robe. He just walked back to the bathroom closing and locking the door making me chuckle, he thinks I'll barge in there while he's showering. I need to look good for this dinner. I haven't been home in over three years and well it looks the same really.
My bedroom has changed, the posters are gone, they changed the bed and they renewed the paint, my bathtub and the shower. I'm not complaining though, it is nice, I like it, a knock came forcing me off the bed, I should have put on clothes. I pulled the door, Mr J and two men got in carrying trays of snacks. I don't know the two men but they are good looking and they are young, I could date one of them.
"Thank you Mr J".
"You're welcome, these are my sons, Leo and Noah, they are helping for the weekend, this is the youngest daughter of the family, Olwethu".
"Hi, Olwethu".
I smiled."Hi, nice to meet y'all".
Damien got out of the bathroom fully dressed making me raise an eyebrow, he leaves the bathroom fully dressed? How?. I pulled him to us, to introduce him, he is my boyfriend after all.
"This is Damien, my boyfriend, that's Mr J and his sons, Leo and Noah".
Damien watched them talking, he then nod."Nice to meet you".
"Thank you for the snacks. Mr J?".
"Yes, Olwethu".
"I really missed you".
He smiled."So did I kid, so did I".
I smiled closing the door behind them, now Damien needs to look away while I get dressed because he only took a second to freshen up not giving me enough time to socialize and get dressed. He is shy. I would have never figured that one out, he's always rude and talkative and bubbly when it comes to me.
"Your sister is famous".
"Yeah and beautiful too, sorry you chose the wrong sister".
"I chose the perfect sister, you're beautiful, smart and you're kind and kinda funny".
I turned around smiling and he was still looking out the window."You mean that?".
"Yes".
"Thank you, Damien, you can look now".
He turned around and his face said it all, he literally froze, his jaws dropped and his eyes widened making me feel weird. I decided to wear a dress, he really has never watched TV or he would know me wearing a dress, he turned around again facing the window. I smiled walking up to him, wearing only socks, I don't like shoes, my dad use to call me a Khoisan when I was a kid.
Maybe it's the Zulu blood in me, my forefathers never wore shoes, I don't think my great grandfather did either, I stood besides Damien and I opened the window leading to the balcony, I got out, he followed. The only thing I missed the most was the view. My house gives out the most beautiful views of all times, Damien looked out to the fields seeing cows and tractors. He slightly smiled making me smile.
