Evelyn stood next to Pietro who now stood over the unknown spy who had been forced to their knees. She looked at them unsure of why they seemed familiar. She didn't understand why she felt bad for invading their mind, she didn't understand why they seemed to think they were her soulmate, she had found all of hers. She didn't have any more marks.
"He should find us soon. I put out a beacon and I heard drones, so we have to hope that they belong to my dad and not the organization." She said to Pietro eyes still focused on the stranger in front of them. She nearly jumped when they spoke.
"Your little heart is racing now that you know who sent me angel, that's a bit more like it. I wanted to hear your heart race with fear like that and I was so disappointed when you weren't scared when you saw me.." They spoke, smugness laced their tone.
"Shut up." Pietro hissed as he kicked their back causing them to fall forward.
"Ohohoh" They snickered "Did I hit a nerve? You don't like me talking to my angel do you boy?"
"I said shut up!" Pietro repeated ready to strike again, his patience was wearing thin.
"On come on. Angel your little boy toy is soo temperamental." They were toying with the pair, trying to get a reaction. "Come on angel why don't you just come over here so I can see your pretty little face. Are you mad at me? Are you scared? Hm? Come on all I want is to look at you. Just come look in my eyes, I have a secret to tell you."
Something was off. Evelyn stayed in her place. She didn't trust whoever this was and she certainly did not want to look at their face with the way they were speaking to her.
"Pietro," She said, eyes fixed on the back of the stranger's head.
"Yes, love?" He responded
"Just knock them out. I don't want to hear any more of this useless babble." She was irritated with them at this point.
"Back to your old ways huh Ang-" Before they could finish Pietro hit them with a nearby log
"I've never seen you this cold," Pietro said, looking back at Evelyn.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I think I know them" She responded
"It's okay I understand, I was just surprised. Is all." He looked to her warmly "They should find us soon don't worry."
Evelyn could hear everything Pietro said but she couldn't focus on anything. All she could think about was the unknown person in front of them. Their voice was so familiar, she could almost put a face to the voice but it hurt her head too much to think about it.
They could hear multiple sets of footsteps approaching. The pair went on high alert, they stood back to back and waited for whomever it was to reach them.
Before anyone reached them a slight whirring was heard accompanied by faint music. Soon enough, a red and gold suit was seen swerving through the trees.
"Dad!" Evelyn called out. She ran towards him with her arms out stretched. She was so relieved.
"I'm so glad to see you but who is that?" Tony said chuckling at the unconscious person on the forest floor.
"I told you someone from the organization found us and it was unsafe to leave them. I think it would be beneficial to take them with us to find out more information. I scanned their thoughts but I could tell they were hiding things from me. They have somehow been trained to withstand my power, to a degree." Evelyn said
She was so distracted by her dad she didn't realize the many pairs of teary eyes which focused on her form. She turned and looked past her father. She shot them a smile before she spoke.
"I have a feeling we don't want to stay here long. We should get back to the tower where it's safe. And then we can have our hellos. I am so happy to see you all but I am currently in survival mode and I need something to drink and some fresh clothes."
They all complied with her wish, nodding in awe as they had never seen Evelyn be so forward, so commanding. Steve liked it more than he'd ever admit.
"Also someone needs to take them, I don't want to do the carrying." She said as she gestured to the still-unconscious stranger.
"Legolas, get on it," Tony ordered jokingly before firing up and preparing to fly out. "Come on, follow my lead," He turned to Evelyn as he spoke, "Can you keep up kid?" He smirked before closing his mask and taking off.
"Oh you bet I can," Evelyn took off quick as an arrow as she shot upwards following in the same path.

When they finally returned to the tower, Evelyn was the first to get into the living quarters as the rest of the team ensured their 'prisoner' was properly restrained and contained.
Evelyn bolted to her room to shower and change her clothes. She felt so disgusting. Her hair was caked with a mix of dirt, sweat, and blood. Before she could even begin to take her clothes off there was a soft knock at the door.
"Hey kid," Tony's voice sounded rough like he had been crying.
Evelyn stopped what she was doing and went over, opened the door and let him in. She went over and sat on the edge of her bed, motioning for him to join her. He sat down, unsure of what to say.
"Listen, Evelyn, I know it's been hard and I don't know what happened to you but was Peter there?" Tony asked, each word felt as though it was falling out. He wasn't used to feeling out of control, but he was so scattered and hadn't slept for days.
"Peter? What do you mean? I never saw him. I thought he was here? are you saying he's gone? That's why he wasn't with you guys? He's missing?" With every second that passed she became more panicked. Evelyn began to hyperventilate.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. He disappeared the same day as you so Wanda must have him" He spat out Wanda's name as though it was pure venom.
"I think there's something wrong with her," Evelyn said still teary-eyed.
She thought back to when she was at the cabin when Wanda hurt Pietro. She was crying, and her eyes, they were a bright orange colour. Something wasn't right.
"I think someone is controlling her, dad." Evelyn spoke again, verbalising the conclusion she had reached.
"You're wrong. The problem with her has been and always will be that she's out of control. She takes things too far." Tony said looking down, irritated.
"Dad you don't understand-" Evelyn started before she was cut off.
"No. You don't understand Evelyn. I am your father. I am supposed to keep you safe. I have already failed you more than once and it will never happen again. Things are going to be really different around here kid. You might not like me for it but it's for your own good. " Tony said in a stern tone.
He got up and left the room, just before he closed the door he stopped to say,
"I love you kid, and I'm sorry." He shut the door behind him. It was filled by a loud click and some beeping.
Evelyn felt her heart sink to her stomach.
"Dad?!" she called out panicked attempting to turn the doorknob. "Dad, please! Please don't do this to me! Dad!" She began to yell, which escalated to screaming quickly.
On the other side of the door sat Tony, head in his hands. It tore him apart but she had to be kept safe, and he knew, being his daughter, Evelyn would go out on her own to try and 'fix' things. She was far too reckless.
