Tony stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the living room with confusion. The living space was filled with boisterous laughter. He looked around the living room and watched as Peter danced around like a monkey attempting to act something out. He chuckled a little before he glanced down the hall to the broken door to Evelyn's room. It hung wide open and the keypad had been smashed. He walked briskly to the edge of the living room annoyed.

"Who the fuck broke my door?" He looked around the room for answers.

Bucky shrugged his shoulders while a smug smirk played on his features,

"I mean I did tell you not to, but you didn't listen and I couldn't go over, I couldn't go under... sooo I went through," Bucky said amused. He looked at Tony half expecting steam to blow out of his ears "I'd say it was pretty effective," He added on.

Tony clenched his jaw,

"I told you not to interfere. It wasn't your place." He said, scanning the room for Evelyn. His eyes landed on her pressing herself back anxiously into Pietro's chest while he had a protective hold around her waist. He locked his eyes on the pair.

"Evelyn, go back to your room." Tony said, his tone dead serious.

"You can't be serious Tony. We aren't going to let you lock her up." Natasha said, raising an eyebrow at him. He didn't even look her way and kept his eyes trained on his daughter.

"Evelyn, I'm serious go back to your room." He said again, his tone laced with irritation this time.

"Please dad, don't lock me in. I don't want to be locked up like that please." Evelyn said, hoping he would come to some reason.

"Listen to me and just go to your room. I don't want to be mean but I will if you continue to disrespect my authority like this. You are still a child. You don't get to make adult decisions like that yet." He responded sternly.

"I am an adult dad. I'll be 19 in 2 weeks! You can't be serious." She retorted

"Exactly. You aren't yet and you don't act like an adult so I have to treat you like a child."

With that Evelyn began to cry out of a mixture of frustration and embarrassment. Crying made her feel even more like a child and she felt ashamed to break like this in front of everyone.

"Now look what you've done, you buffoon! Leave her alone. We are here to protect her and we can do that without locking her up like a beast." Loki piped up, angered at the treatment of his soulmate.

"Obviously you can't protect her because she was taken by that witch. Or has everyone forgotten?" Tony said with sarcasm.

Evelyn turned and whispered in PIetro's ear. She couldn't bear to sit there any longer she wanted to leave. He stood up and asked her to get on his back, so she did with slight difficulty. Before anyone could say a word he ran off with Evelyn and they disappeared down the hall followed by the loud bang of his door closing.

"Good job. Stark that went over well." Clint said as he got up and walked with Natasha to their room.

One by one the rest of the avengers filed out of the living room and back to their bedrooms until only Tony and Peter remained in the living room. Peter walked over anxiously and tried to offer some advice.

"I know you want to protect her Mr Stark, but you should try to be less mean about it. You really hurt her feelings and it's really not fair to treat her that way. You should maybe think about how to make it up to her. I don't want to see you guys fighting because you never know when you're going to lose someone." He said, he waited a moment for a response and when he didn't get one he just decided to say goodnight and return to his room. As he walked down the hall he heard Tony once he finally spoke up.
