-Joni's POV-

I walked into the room as I saw Helsie messing around with a guitar. "So how did your nightly duties go?" She asked not even having to look up. "Uh good. I saved this one girl." I said as I walked over to her sitting down. She looked up from the guitar. "Who?" She asked. "Y/n. I think the same girl from when the servers went down" I said she snickered. "Was there a actual vampire this time?" I sighed with a laugh. "Yeah." She snickered. "So can you listen to this song I made and see if it's any good. I'm gonna call it high stakes club" she said enthusiastic. "After our club?" I snickered. "Yep!" I smiled "okay sure." I took the earbud she passed to me and put it in my ear.

-Y/n POV-

I sat on the mountain as Evie approached. She sat beside me. "So how's life" she said. "Okay I guess" I said. "I met this girl in the woods." Evie looked over at me. "What?" She sighed looking back at the tree. "Creepy but who?" I smiled at the thought of her. "Her name was Joni. Joni the red." I said looking up at the moon. "Oh her! She seems...okay? Maybe a bit crazy?" Evie said. "First off you know her and secondly crazy??" I said as I looked at her with disbelief. "Her bot stand is a little ways from mine. And she's always talking about vampires and crap. I don't know I just hear that from other people." She said putting her hand on her chin like she was thinking.

"So people are talking crap about her?" I said with a little bit of anger in my voice. "Chill girl. And yes and no. Why?" Evie said. "That's so not cool. Ugh I hate people." I said standing up. "Do you mean bots?" Evie said. I sighed and let out a laugh. "Yes Evie. I mean bots." She knew that I was from the real world. Or what I called the real world and that we called people..people. "Anyway. Why was she in the woods?" Evie asked as we walked down the hill. "Well I was being attacked by uh...vampire..and she saved me" I said looking the other way. "Vampire? Are you kidding me. Are you crazy. They aren't real." Evie said scoffing. "They are! I nearly died! If it wasn't for Joni!" We stoped at the bottom of the hill. "You must like her if your defending her like that!" Evie said annoyed. "Why are we arguing?!" I yelled. "Because vampires aren't real Y/n!" Evie yelled shaking me. "Get some sense in you!" Evie yelled. "I know what I saw Evie! Why aren't you believe me. Joni isn't crazy either. She is trying to protect us all!" I yelled. Evie went quite. Maybe I was being dramatic.

Joni definitely wasn't trying to save us all. More like just doing her part. I don't know. "I mean..there is no real reason I shouldn't believe you." Evie said looking down. "I just...agreed with everyone else and didn't even try to talk to her." Evie said ashamed. "I'm sorry." She said looking at me. "It's fine. I'm calling it a night though. I'll see you tomorrow night Evie." I said she smiled lightly and waved as we went our separate ways.
