Ugh....

-Y/n POV-

"I should really get home" I said sitting up. Joni looked startled and sad. "But you just got really hurt? Please stay! You need to heal." Joni said. "I really need to get home..." I said and she gave me a look (🥺) "please stay" she said. I sighed. "I'm sorry but no Joni." She sighed. "Okay..." she got up holding her hand out to help me. I paused. "You know what..I could just stay..I guess." Joni smiled. "Are you sure? No need to feel pressured into staying, I'm just worried about you." I smiled softly and Joni took a seat back on the couch. I leaned up against her chest. "I'm fine with staying.." and that's all I remember before I drifted back to sleep.

- TIME SKIP -

I woke up my head finally not hurting. I opened my eyes, wait..where was Joni? I sat up. I looked around. She wasn't anywhere but I did see Helsie. I got up and shuffled over to her. My head and body still feeling loopy. "Hey Helsie.." I rubbed my head and Helsie turned to me. She was cooking something..I couldn't tell what. "Oh hey Y/n!" She smiled. "Where's Joni?" I asked taking my hand away from my head. Everything looked dimmer than usual..maybe it's just my head. "Who?" Helsie asked. I raised my eye brow. "What do you mean who?" I asked. Helsie narrowed her eyes. "I don't know who Joni is." She said her voice filled with confusion. "Your leader?? Joni is your leader?" I said. What is Helsie on about? "What are you talking about? Did you really hit your head that hard that you're making up members. You're our leader Y/n." I froze hearing Helsies words. What did she mean? Where was Joni? What was going on?

I jutted awake. Panting. Joni looked up at me worried. "What wrong?" She asked. Her eyes were filled of worry. I hugged her tightly. "Woah, you okay?" She asked hugging me back. "I had a..nightmare." I paused mid sentence. I didn't wanna seem to attached to Joni..

She rubbed my back. "Well it's okay, you're here now and everything's okay." She said. I calmed my breathing and heart rate before I pulled back. "What?" Joni asked. I stared at her. Her features..she was really pretty..I shook my head. "Nothing" I said before I turned away from Joni and stared at the TV. Helsie just then came downstairs. "Hey! Me and Lucien are gonna go get some boba from my work, you want any?" She jumped down the last few steps and looked at me and Joni. "I'll just get the usual Helsie." Joni said and Helsie looked at me. "I'll get the same thing she's getting." Helsie smiled once more. "Okay!! Come on Lucien!!" Helsie yelled up the stairs and a faint "coming!" from Lucien upstairs. Helsie then skipped out the door and Lucien followed shortly after. Joni turned her attention back to me. "Now that they were gone I was wondering if you wanted to learn how to hunt?" Joni said with a slight smile. "Oh! Well, uh.." I paused looking away from Joni. Did I really wanna learn how to hunt literal vampires? I don't know..well I do..I want to say yes..I'm just..nervous..?

I looked up at Joni which seemed slightly worried waiting for my answer. "Sure." I said and the worry left her face and she smiled. "Great!" She stood up. "Shall we go find you a weapon?" She held her hand out. I then took it. "Sure.."
