"Oh Honey, I know you wanna play in the snow too.", Amelia told her youngest son. Meanwhile, her husband was building a snowman with their other three kids. At least, they were trying to, because Aiden and Rosalie weren't really doing what they were told.

"Yeah!", Toby said, wiggling out of his mother's arms to step through the cold white mass with his cute tiny boots. "Mama!", he called his mom, wanting her to join him on the ground. The brunette could hear Owen chuckle and looked at him.

"If I have to be out here and touch the snow, so you do too. Because you might have forgotten, but I am the one who doesn't like winter.", the trauma surgeon reminded his wife as he let Leo continue with his snowball that was supposed to become the head.

"Through your gloves.", the neurosurgeon called him out on his exaggeration. "Okay then, let's lie in the snow, I guess.", she addressed the one-year-old, who was already rolling around. "Toby, that's cold!"

"He no twink (think) so, Mommy.", Rose informed her mother and giggled, deciding to join her brother in getting all snowy and therefore also all wet. "It fun!", she added and clapped, causing Leo to pout.

"What's wrong, Angel?", the redhead asked his oldest son, who looked really upset now, although his snowman head was slowly becoming the right size. "You're doing amazing.", he reassured him.

"But if they aren't helping, we won't get this done today.", the five-year-old complained sadly. "I've wanted to make the snowman and soon it's dinner time.", he sighed.

"I tell you what, Honey.", his mother began. "Let your siblings have this moment in the snow, then they are wet anyway. Grandma is inside preparing dinner and she can help me bath them later, while you and daddy can finish the snowman. Okay?", she suggested.

"Uh-huh.", Leo nodded. Having three very young siblings often meant he had to accept that a lot of his ideas didn't go as planned. But the snowman had been today's special December activity, so believing it wouldn't get finished had made him sad.

"That's my big boy.", Amelia beamed at the child, knowing it was unfair that he had to wait for his turn a lot of times. "Thank you.", she added, making him understand that his generosity wasn't taken for granted but rather appreciated.

While the little blonde continued working on the snowman's head, Aiden, Toby, and Rosalie were allowed to play in the snow for ten more minutes until their mother took them inside, so their father was able to help their son.

"Well, this has been chaotic.", Owen pointed out. "Your head looks great, now we have to make two even bigger snowballs, which I will help you roll because they are going to get pretty heavy.", he explained.

"First the very hugest one, Daddy.", the five-year-old decided, so they got work. "Mommy, we are done! Look at our snowman.", he happily announced an hour later, now very cold, and ready for his bath. His siblings had already eaten and were brought to bed by their mom and grandma.

"It's beautiful, Sweetie!", the brunette exclaimed joyfully and kissed his head as she grasped his hand to take Leo to the bathroom and bathe him to warm up before dinner. "Does it have a name?"

"Yeah, it's a she and her name is Chelly.", her son excitedly shared. You can meet her tomorrow when it's time for kindergarten.", he promised, watching his mama nod. "Maybe we can make another one soon."
