Friday, 23rd December:
Leo: 5; Aiden: 2; Rosalie: 2; Toby: 1
---
"Dada, what doin'?", Rosalie asked her father as he got ready to go outside to shovel the snow out of the gateway like every morning. "Me come?", she wondered excitedly, looking up at her dad.
"I'll make sure we can go for a walk later.", Owen explained to his daughter, crouching down to her height, and causing her to walk into his arms to give him a big hug. "I know you would like to help me, but I don't think you can, Love.", he pouted at her.
"I big helper!", Aiden announced, joining them in the hallway and ready to get the job done. His mother followed him, holding Toby in her arms, while Leo also walked over to his family members to find out what was going on.
"What are you doing?", the five-year-old wanted to know, unintentionally repeating his sister's question. He curiously glanced at his parents. He had interrupted his playing session and was now wondering what was going on.
"I am going outside to shovel the snow as every morning.", the redhead told his children another time, causing Leo to turn around on the spot and walk back towards the living room. "Hey!", he chuckled, amused by the boy's disinterest.
"Tomorrow is Christmas Eve; I need to regenerate my energy. And also, I can watch you from inside and root for you, Daddy.", the little blonde explained before he actually vanished into the room.
"Me help!", Rosie suggested again, but her mother was very much against the idea since the toddlers would only cause her husband to need more time outside than he already did.
"Honey, we can watch daddy from the living room.", the neurosurgeon told her daughter and grasped her hand with her free one. "Aidy, come with us.", she softly ordered, bringing all the kids back into the living room to keep them busy.
"Thanks.", her husband mouthed. He loved his children more than anything, but with them running around him he wouldn't get the job done. Amelia hated shoveling snow, so it was his thing to do.
"I'll make you a tea in half an hour.", the brunette promised him before she closed the door behind her. "I see you took me seriously.", she laughed upon seeing all four kids lined up at the window, staring at their father, even Toby, who she had put down a minute ago.
"Yeah!", Aiden proudly informed her and waved at his father, who grinned at them from the outside and waved back. He was enjoying his little fanbase to the fullest. "We wove dada.", he shared.
"I know, I love daddy too.", Amelia replied and took a few photos before she sat down next to the kids to watch the trauma surgeon together with them. "Once he's back inside, you can all cuddle him to warm him."
"Great idea, Mama!", Leo said and nodded eagerly. "Shoveling snow doesn't look like fun. Playing in snow and building snow creatures is fun, but this? It looks exhausting.", he dramatically sighed.
"It is. Which is why your father wanted to do it by himself without taking any of your help. He wanted you guys to enjoy your day and he tried to avoid giving you more work. I mean, Toby always has busy days. He's still exploring everything.", the neurosurgeon answered.
"Me Toby!", the baby giggled. He loved hearing his name because on the one hand, it meant he could repeat it and on the other hand, it implied somebody was not only talking about him but also thinking of him.
"Yes, you are.", his mother chuckled and kissed his head. "Let's wave at daddy one more time before we let him work. Your toys are already missing you, Angels.", she let the children know, causing them to nod and do what they had been told.
