Advent Calendar with my Omelia families [2022]

12th December: You're Mine family

"So, today we want to make calendars for both grandmas, Uncle Derek's family, Aunty Megan's and Aunty Teddy's families as well Uncle Andrew and Aunt Maggie since they don't get to see us as often anymore.", Amelia announced to the children. "Therefore, the twins are happy in the playpen with Eleanor watching them and we will craft a little bit."

"Of course, we won't have to finish all of them today because it's already afternoon and six calendars are a lot of work.", her husband continued. "I'll help you two with gluing the photos.", he addressed Leo and Layla since Logan was able to do it himself.

"I've already picked all the pictures for each page of every calendar, but you guys have to design the pages a little more by drawing or writing something. Please tell us what you are gonna add before you start.", the neurosurgeon finished.

"I'll make this one.", the fourteen-year-old decided and pulled one of the blank calendars towards himself. "Ah, it's for Grandma Carolyn.", he noticed since she was on some of the photos together with the kids.

"Mine is for Uncle Derek's family.", Layla shared after glancing inside. "And yours, Leo?", she curiously wanted to know, watching him struggle with opening his calendar until their father helped him.

"Aunty Teddy.", the five-year-old answered. "And yours, Mommy?", he wondered. His dad wasn't going to start working on his own calendar as he had to help them with theirs and check on the twins every once in a while, even if the playpen was in sight.

"Grandma Evelyn.", the brunette smiled softly. "In here are some stickers for you to use if you want to.", she pointed out and held up a box. "But please make sure they kinda fit the theme of the month. We don't want snowflakes on the summer pages. And if you're unsure, ask us first."

"That would be hilarious!", Layla giggled, always one for mischief, but she wasn't going to destroy that beautiful calendar just because it seemed to be fun. "But I can use them for January, right Daddy?", she asked.

"Of course, Honey. Even for February, if you feel like it. But you could also take the white pencil and draw some snowflakes around the pictures yourself since that makes the whole project more personal.", the trauma surgeon advised. "Let's start with the first two photos though."

"Everyone of us is on all the January photos!", Leo realized excitedly. "Are there pages where somebody is missing?", he questioned curiously. He had thought that only one kid was on each page.

"Yes, in the birthday months. For example, you are on the December ones, Layla's page is September and Logan is superior in May.", his mother explained, showing the months of the calendar she was making to demonstrate it.

"And the twins share July because they were born on the same day.", Logan responded. "Do you and dad have March and August then?", he wondered since that would have been many pages for only one person.

"Nah, nobody wants two whole months with our faces on them, when they can see our sweet children instead.", Amelia replied. "But we're on so many pictures with you guys, it's fine. I love the special pages a lot, but I love the family photos even more.", she beamed in satisfaction.

"Me too!", all three kids agreed in unison, making their parents smile even wider since it was so cute. They had always wanted their children to get along and most of the time they did, not only when they were doing Christmas activities.
