Friday, 16th December:
Brody: 13; Elleny & Noah: 4 (almost 5); Leo: 4; Mila: 1; Lola: 5 (doggo)

"Time for our board game afternoon and evening.", Leo cheered once their snack time was officially over, and he had washed his hands. The family had originally planned to do a board game evening only, but Mila often couldn't be part of the Christmas activities, so they would start with easy games for her to feel included, even if she was only snuggling with her father.
"I'll get her busy board.", Amelia announced before she handed it to her excited daughter while Brody was helping his three other younger siblings with preparing a game for them to play.
"What are we playing first?", Owen asked his kids, after making sure Mila would start using her activity board. She was still sitting in his lap, her favorite place to be. "Oh, Dragon's Breath?", he noticed.
"Yeah, it's my favorite game, Daddy.", Elleny stated the obvious. She wanted to play this game all day every day, so nobody had failed to realize that it was the one she liked most. "I wanna be red."
"You can be.", her mother chuckled. "Honey, could you make sure that Mila doesn't take any of the small gems?", she addressed her husband, who nodded because there were only five colors to play, so one of them had to watch anyway.
"I'll be green.", Brody decided next, choosing his favorite color, followed by Leo wanting yellow and Noah taking blue, which meant that purple was left for Amelia. Since it was a game for young children, it only took them fifteen minutes to play.
"Now another game!", Noah begged. He was the most patient out of the three sandwich kids and while their parents expected Leo and Elleny to last for only two games max, he was maybe able to play three.
Brody on the other hand could go all night if nobody stopped him, so once his siblings were sleeping, he could play a little more with his parents, especially since it was a Friday evening.
"Let's play Barnyard Bunch.", Leo chose the second board game and got up to get it from the drawer the family kept its games in. "But after that, I wanna draw with my crayons.", he cutely announced.
"That's okay, Sweetie.", his father allowed softly. "Now this game is for four players only, meaning we will only watch you play it, but in case you need help, mama and I are right here.", he promised the children.
"Can we also play Outfoxed before dinner?", Elleny wondered, causing her parents to nod. "I love playing board games!", she beamed happily. "But I also wanna play with my dolls later.", she realized.
"Honey, there's plenty of time before dinner and bedtime. Let's finish our game session with Barnyard Bunch and Outfoxed and then you can all go play something else.", the neurosurgeon suggested and kissed her head.
"Dada!", Mila called for her father's attention and looked up at him, wanting to show him what she had done with her busy board. "Me do.", she proudly pointed at it and clapped her hands, praising herself.
"Woah!", her oldest brother meddled. "That's so cool!", he joined in on the praising without actually meaning it because it was truly boring, but he wanted his sister to feel good and to believe that her work was appreciated.
"It really is.", Owen agreed and smiled at his baby, making her giggle cutely. "Now maybe you can do it the other way around.", he tried to keep the girl busy, causing her to start trying. "That's my little Queen."
