Present Day
Character POV: Ariadne
I could let it go. I could listen to Zebulun and let this dick, this repulsive homophobic piece of misogynistic trash get out of here and live a fulfilling human life while he saps away all that still is good about humanity and brings down the overall I.Q. of every person he comes into contact with for fifty more years. I could do that. Or. . .
I whirl and punch him with almost all of my considerable vampire strength, holding back just enough so that I don't kill him. He drops like a dead body to the ground, and Zebulun stays silent beside me. We stand there, staring at the dropped man for a moment in silence, before Zebulun asks, "What's the plan now? Because appearing like you took the higher ground is now firmly out of the question."
I'm too full of rage to think coherently. A plan forms in my mind, dark and twisted and full of potential backlash, but it's a plan. So, I tell Zeb, "Grab him. Carry him to my car. We're leaving the club. Have Sita assume control while we're gone." He stays silent, falling into a comfortable working dynamic we've had for centuries as he bends down and scoops up the unconscious form of Aoibhe's new beau. I turn away, no longer interested in looking at him for a moment longer as I open the door and hold it for Zebulun. Things have to change today, because my patience is now extinct.
