You smiled, holding your pinky to the pinkette, "I promise one day, when I'm big and strong, I'll marry you and protect you forever!" You exclaimed with a big smile across your face.

"You want to marry me??" Her childish voice yelled in disbelief, "Really?!" She added. You nodded quickly, still holding your small hand out with your pinky out.

"yes, yes!" She joined in on the smiling, a big and cheeky smile finding it's way onto her cutely chubby face. "And I promise that I'll marry you, I'll be the prettiest bride you'll ever see!" She said, linking her pinky with you own, you both giggle, your childish laughter filling the silence of garden.

She kept one part of that promise.

You thought to yourself as you watched Mitsuri enter the room.

You sat in the guest seating, wishing you were the one standing at the alter.

But it wasn't you.

Mitsuri had a nervous smile on her face, holding a boutique of beautiful blood red roses. A blush was on her face, a vail was draped over her face but you could tell.

She really was the prettiest bride you'll ever see.

She started to walk down the aisle, her white dress was long and dragged behind her, her hands were fidgeting as she held the boutique of roses.

You watched sadly as she neared you, she looked down at you and gave a genuine smile.

Then she continued to walk, you jolted a bit feeling a sudden squeeze of your right hand. You looked over, seeing Ruizu give you a sad smile, her soft yellow eyes giving you a gentle look.

You felt her give a gentle squeeze to your hand and smiled at her sadly.

Ruizu released your hand and you turned your gaze back to the alter where Mitsuri now stood with Obanai.

Mitsuri went to hold his hands in her own but quickly realized she was still holding the lively roses, "AHHH- Ruizu!" She whisper-shouts, quickly moving over to Ruizu and handing the yellow eyed girl the roses.

Mitsuri flashed you a excited smile before going back to Obanai and then finally holding his hands in her own.

The minister- or Gyomei, began to speak his words, you tuned them out, not wanting to hear the words that would join Mitsuri and Obanai together forever

This should be you.

You should be the one up there, you and Mitsuri promising eachother to the other forever.

You hadent even realized it, but tears had began to go down your cheeks.

Ruizu noticed, holding you hands again and giving a gentle squeeze.

'I do'

You shut your eyes tightly, how come you had to hear those words leave Mitsuri's lips.

Those soft and perfect lips that you should be kissing softly, not Obanai.

You squeezed Ruizu's hand tightly, she paid no mind to it, allowing you to squeeze her hand.

All the Hashira, the Kamaboko squad, are at the Love and Snake pillars estate, celebrating the marriage.

"To Mr. and Mrs. Iguro!"

Everyone cheered as they held a glass up, you joined in with a sad smile, it looked happy however and only a few people could tell how fake it was.

It didn't take long for everyone to start yelling for the newly Weds to dance, they did so, flustered.

They danced happily, Obanai held Mitsuri in his arms securely and gently as they swayed back and fourth.

After the couple danced, everyone began to drink, and when I say everyone, I mean everyone.

Everyone was now drunk minus you and Mitsuri, because someone spiked the drinks.

Ruizu was laughing a lot, hanging on Tanjiro, while he stood there and kept laughing with her.

It seems all the Hashira we're having a pillow fight, Sanemi held Giyu up and threw him at Rengoku.

"HEY! GIYU IS NOT JUST A PILLOW YOU CAN THROW AT SOMEONE!" Mitsuri yelled at she then picked Sanemi up herself, "HEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!-" Next thing Sanemi knew, he was thrown at Tengen.

Mitsuri looked around, noticing someone was missing from the big group, Ruizu staggered over to Mitsuri, Tanjiro's arm around her waist as he tried to walk straight himself.

"Ruizu, where is Y/n?" Mitsuri asked the girl, the girl herself smiled sleepily at Mitsuri, "Y/n went outside, Y/n was feeling sad.." she slurred, wavering a bit, Tanjiro doing the same.

"What?! why?! I've gotta go cheer them up!" Mitsuri yelled, running from the two.

"Oh, byeeeee" Ruizu yelled, Tanjiro waving at air.

"Silly, she's gone already." Ruizu laughed, booping Tanjiro on the nose.

"You two need to go to bed." Obanai said as he picked Ruizu up, Kanao picking Tanjiro up.

Mitsuri had finally found Y/n, they were standing by a tree, looking at the moon as it shined over the river, making the water shine.

Mitsuri panted, standing from afar, suddenly she freezed, hearing crying.

'Y/n? Is Y/n crying...?' she thought to herself, she then walked behind a near by tree and hid behind it.

'Maybe I should go, maybe Y/n doesn't want anyone to bother them..'

"Damnit Mitsuri...." You sobbed out, putting your hands over you eyes and wiping away the tears.

'Huh?!'

"You broke the promise...you promised me..." You continued to cry, the tears never stopped flowing.

'A promise? I broke a promise?? What did I do?'

Mitsuri thought to herself, panic beginning to take her over.

"You promised me!" You suddenly shouted, raising your voice, your tone was rough.

Mitsuri suddenly jolted....it snapped into her mind exactly what she promised...

"But Y/n..." She suddenly said, you jumped and turned around, your eyes going wide at seeing the girl there, you felt nervous, knowing she had to hear you.

you looked at her with your teary eyes, wondering what she has to say.

"We were just kids."
