SIX YEARS LATER

SINCE SETTLING into her new life at King's Landing, Ellyra had caused quite a ruckus. Being a twelve year old with so many emotions and no outlet led her to get into all kinds of trouble.

From being caught in brothels more times than Daemon would like to count, cutting up all of Alicent Hightower's dresses, jumping onto tables during a ceremonial feast, and even nearly burning down the temple of the seven, she'd done it all. It had been too much for the kingdom to handle.

Though with Ellyra being a daughter of the Rogue Prince, it did not come a shock to anyone of the princess' wild nature. Many of the realm folk branded her as the Recalcitrant Princess because of her untamable behavior.

"Thank the Gods I did not allow you a dragon egg for her!" Viserys fumed towards his younger brother as Alicent stood by her husband tight lipped.

"Someone so reckless should not have a dragon!"

Daemon scoffed at his brother's words. "Someone reckless does have a dragon, do you forget brother? That same reckless man who won you the war in the Stepstones."

Viserys wagged his finger toward his young brother, "No how could I forget when I am reminded at every turn!"

Daemon could not help but to let out a laugh at his brother's anger. "Ellyra is a true dragon. Her blood runs as chaotic as my own."

Back and forth the brothers went at each other. "Get her under control brother, or else," Viserys empty threat could have made Daemon laugh though the Rogue Prince knew best not to poke the old dragon.

Sighing, Daemon nodded toward his brother, "As you command your Grace." Though Daemon did believe most of his daughter's antics were amusing he could not deny her insatiable tastes for chaos was beginning to slip out of his control. "That is all?" Alicent stammered clearly unsatisfied with her husband's lack of power. With a sigh, Viserys rubbed a hand over his face before turning to his wife with an exhausted expression. "What would you have me do, Alicent?"

Daemon narrowed his eyes towards the green queen, almost daring her to speak. Gulping down the lump in her throat, she turned away from Daemon's glaring eyes. "It is not uncommon for a princess to become a sister of the faith," Alicent rushed out as though expecting to be interrupted.

"She is not an ordinary princess, Ellyra is my only heir," Daemon fired back.

"Viserys." Alicent gazed intensely into the king's eyes as she grabbed onto his arm in a last resort plea.
