"Kaylee, I want you to tell me the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear certain words, alright?"
"Okay." I mumbled, pouting and sinking deeper into the couch at the anger management therapists office.
"Boy."
"Mason."
"Family."
"Zayn, Harry, Liam, Louis, and-" I cut myself off, making sure I didn't let his name slip my lips.
"And?"
"That's it. Please, next word."
"Alright, um, here are multiple ones that I want you to morph into one final word; love, marriage, future, children, dreams, heart, hope, need."
"Niall." I blurted out immediately not even taking the time to think about. Honestly, after a week of trying to hate him, I couldn't.
I should be throwing away the stuff of his I still have, not admiring them, staring at them, and making me more eager to forgive him and apologize.
Every night, I wear an article of his clothing, wether it's one of his T-shirts, sweatpants, anything he forgot, I have claimed as my own.
"Okay, so Niall's your boyfriend?"
"Ex." I stated, fighting the tears in my eyes.
"Alright, Kaylee, I have some homework for you. Before we meet again next week, I want you to do one artistic thing that represents what you love."
"Okay." I sighed and stood up, walking out of the building and straight to my car.
Artistic? Like, a tattoo? Fuck it, I'll do it.
I pulled up to the tattoo parlor, only to be greeted by at least fifty One Direction fans. I quickly got out and ran in the building, glad that the owner locked the doors.
"Thank you so much." I smiled and sat in the reclined chair.
"No problem, what would you like done today."
"I want two names, one written on each of my wrists."
"Hun, that's the most painful place."
"I don't care, I want it done."
"Okay, what are the names?"
"The first one is Mason. M-a-s-o-n. Right wrist, please."
"Okay."
"Then the second one is..."
"Is...?"
"Niall. Ni-a-l-l."
"Perfect, you ready?" I nodded and clenched my fists, ready to bare the excruciating pain.
I left the shop, 100% happy with how they turned out, even better than I expected. Now Niall will always be a part of me, wether we get back together or not, I will never let go.
