I've always wanted to long for love, to lust for life
Yet, when day breaks free of a cruel night
It slips from thought, though plain in sight
How life is meant to be savoured and spiced
I've learnt, in the light, to consider love a terrible vice
That to long for love is the greatest sin, a heavy price
And to lust for life is to lose your place in paradise
