Valen watches from a distance as Sansa walks around the Red Keeps gardens with a soft smile on her lips. Valen couldn't help but stare in awe at how beautiful Sansa looked at that moment, surrounded by beautiful flowers. Still, they couldn't compare to her beauty. Valen loved how the sun made the Stark's gorgeous red hair stick out even more, along with her stunning blue eyes. Since her father's banishment, Sansa had not smiled, and only sadness filled her eyes until this brief moment. Valen had never really been attracted to anyone until now, but she wasn't sure how to show it. She couldn't go to her mother for advice, but maybe her uncle Tyrion could aid her in matters of the heart. Juno appears by Valen's side. "I must see my uncle make sure no one harms her while I'm gone," Valen ordered, then walked away, not knowing Sansa's eyes were on her.

A few minutes later, Valen entered her uncle's chambers, finding him drinking with the man he had returned with. She had heard that his name was Bronn. Tyrion smiles at the sight of his oldest niece.

"My beloved niece, what do I owe the pleasure of your company?" he asked, then took a sip of wine.

Valen glances at Bronn, and Tyrion notices, "Do not worry, my dear niece, anything said in this room will never leave his lips or mine," he vows.

Valen sighed and took a seat across from her uncle, "How do you win a woman's affection?" she asked, slightly embarrassed.

Tyrion chuckles, "I wondered when this day would come though I'm surprised you have come to me and not your mother.... I'm going to take a guess here, but I assume the reason you haven't is that the girl that's caught your eye is Lady Sansa?" he asked, surprising his niece. "You should be careful dear niece. It's not hard to see that you care for the girl even if she herself hasn't noticed your fancy. I'm not the best person to come to on matters of the heart, but I believe you should just be yourself and do what feels right to your heart," Tyrion explained.

Valen smiled, "Thank you, uncle," she said as she stood and kissed his cheek before leaving.

That night in the Red keep's dining hall Valen dines with her family and Sansa. "When will Joffrey and Sansa be married?" Myrcella asked. Sansa's head jerks up, and she looks over at Cersei nervously.

"Soon, darling, when the war is over," Cersei answered.

Myrcella looks at Sansa, "Mother says I'll have a new gown for the ceremony and another for the feast. But yours will be ivory since you're the bride," she explained. Sansa doesn't reply, as a look of trepidation is on her face. Valen could tell this angered her mother, but she spoke up before Cersei could.

"I'm sure your dress will be beautiful, Myrcella," Valen said, making her sister smile. Cersei looks at her daughter in annoyance as Sansa seems close to tears at the reminder of her wedding.

"Is Joffrey going to kill Sansa's brother?" Tommen asked.

"Tommen, such conversation is inappropriate at the table," Valen reprimanded.
