After receiving a letter from Jon snow asking for help, Valen, Juno, Sansa, Podrick, and Brienne ride towards The Wall, which is a massive barrier of mostly ice stretching across the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms. The Wall stretches for three hundred miles and is approximately seven hundred feet tall. It is made of solid ice, stone, and earth and can be seen for miles around. It appears grey or blue depending on the weather and time of day. The top is wide enough for a dozen mounted knights to ride abreast and thicker at the base. The top is wider than the kingsroad, and crushed stone is spread on walkways to aid with footing. According to myth, old spells are woven into The Wall to strengthen it and keep creatures of a magical nature, such as the Others, from passing it. The Wall is straight like a sword from Castle Black to Eastwatch-by-the-Sea but runs like a snake between Castle Black and the Shadow Tower. Tunnels have been cut through the Wall at each castle of the Night's Watch. They are sealed with ice and stone wherever castles have been abandoned or in times of danger. Cells chiseled from the ice at the foot of the Wall are used as storerooms or prisons. As the group approaches The Wall, a single horn sounds from Castle Black, the Night's Watch's main stronghold and their Lord Commander's seat. The castle is situated along the Wall between Queens-gate to the west and Oakenshield to the east, near the center of the Wall, at the northern end of the kingsroad. "Riders approaching! Open the gate!" a man yelled, and the southern gates opened. Sansa, Brienne, Juno, Podrick, and Valen enter the courtyard on horseback. The Night's Watch and the Wildlings all watch them. Tormund stares intently at Juno. The group dismounted from their horses. Two men emerge onto a balcony overlooking the courtyard. One of them has more Stark-like features than any of the other Stark children. He has a lean build with a long face like all Starks and dark brown hair. He has grey eyes so dark they almost seem black. Sansa slowly spins around until she and the man lock eyes. He descends from the balcony and walks toward Sansa. They stare at each other and then embrace with tears in their eyes.

Tormund steps towards Juno, "Juno, is that you?" he asks in disbelief.

Tears fill Juno's eyes, "Papa?" she whispered. Tormund pulls his long-lost daughter into a warm embrace.

That night Valen stood by a large fireplace in the great hall of Castle Black, giving Sansa time alone with her brother. "Do you love her?" a rough male voice asked from behind her. Valen turns, revealing it's Jon standing before her.

"With every fiber of my being," Valen proclaimed without hesitation. Jon stares into her eyes, reminding Valen of Ned.

"...Sansa has told me everything you have done for her and my family. I would be lying if I said I wasn't surprised to find out a child of Cersei Lannister was capable of honor, but here you are.....thank you," Jon said as he moved forward, standing next to Valen and looking into the fire.

"Sansa said that the Bolton's have threatened to attack the Night's Watch over you, allowing the free folk passed the wall?" Valen asked.

Jon sighs, "He calls me a traitor for allowing thousands of wildlings past the Wall. And that I have betrayed my own kind and the North.......he has my brother Rickon in his dungeon. If I don't send the Wildlings back beyond The Wall, he will kill Rickon," he explained.
