In the dining hall of Winterfell, Sansa is sitting at the head of the high table. Valen sits beside her on one side and Jon on the other, with Robb beside him. Representatives from Northern houses, the Vale, the Baratheons bannermen, and the wildlings are gathered in the dining hall. Tormund, Juno and Davos sit among the wildlings. "You can't expect Knights of the Vale to side with wildling invaders," a Vale knight said in disgust.

"We didn't invade. We were invited," Tormund pointed out.

"Not by me," the knight spat.

Sansa stands up, "The free folk, the northerners, the Baratheon's we all bleed red. We all fought bravely together, and because of this, we won. My father used to say we find our true friends on the battlefield," she said confidently.

One of the houses' representatives stands, "The Boltons are defeated. The war is over. Winter has come. If the maesters are right, it'll be the coldest one in a thousand years. We should ride home and wait out the coming storms," he explained.

"The war is not over. And I promise you, friend, the true enemy won't wait out the storm. He brings the storm," Jon said in a severe tone causing the men to begin murmuring. Lady Lyanna Mormont suddenly stands.

"Your son was butchered at the Red Wedding, Lord Manderly. But you refused the call. You swore allegiance to House Stark, Lord Glover, but in their hour of greatest need, you refused the call. And you, Lord Cerwyn, your father was skinned alive by Ramsay Bolton. Still, you refuse the call. But House Mormont remembers. The North remembers. We know no king but the King in the North, whose name is Stark. She may be a woman, but Ned Stark's blood runs through her veins. She's my queen from this day until her last day," Lyanna vowed.

The men resume murmuring as Lord Manderly stands, "Lady Mormont speaks harshly and truly. My son died for Robb Stark, the Young Wolf. I didn't think we'd find another ruler in my lifetime. I didn't commit my men to your cause because I didn't want more Manderlys dying for nothing. But I was wrong. Sansa Stark avenged the Red Wedding. She is the Red Wolf. The queen in the North," he proclaimed. Robb looks down, ashamed of his choices that brought so much death. Manderly draws his blade, then rests it point-down on the ground and kneels.

Lord Glover stands, "I did not fight beside you on the field, and I will regret that until my dying day. A man can only admit when he was wrong and ask forgiveness," he said.

"You are forgiven, my lord," Sansa said, knowing that even though he broke his family's word, his house was still needed to fight the long night.

"There will be more fights to come. House Glover will stand behind House Stark as we have for a thousand years. And I will stand behind Sansa Stark... the queen in the North!" Lord Glover vowed, drew his blade, rested it point-down on the ground, and then kneeled. Everyone in the hall stands and draws their blades.

"The queen in the North! The queen in the North!" everyone chanted. Sansa looks over all of them in surprise while Valen smiles.

That night Valen walks into the bed chambers she now shared with her wife. Sansa stood by the fireplace, deep in thought. Valen hugs her from behind, bringing her wife out of her thoughts. Sansa smiles as Valen kisses her shoulder. "My queen," Valen whispered, then brushed her lips up Sansa's neck.
