Sansa watches as Valen and Juno spare in the quart yard. The two women lunge toward each other, and Juno swings her sword at Valen. She parried, but Juno simply adjusted the swing into a thrust. She cut and thrust at Valen relentlessly, driving her around the ring, never letting Valen gain her balance. Valen suddenly drops low to the ground, swinging her long sword at Juno's feet, but the Wildling leaps over it. Juno and Valen circle each other for a few seconds. Juno swings her blade towards Valen's head, but she slaps Juno's blade aside with her own disarming the Wildling. Juno grabbed Valen by the shoulders and drove her knee up toward her gut. Valen twisted just in time for the blow to miss. Both girls smile at each other breathing heavily. Sansa couldn't help but admire the young Baratheon. She didn't care what society thought of her. Valen suddenly looks over at her and meets Sansa's eyes, causing them to both smile at each other like two lovesick puppies. Juno chuckles at the sight. "So have you and Sansa talked about this kiss?" she asked. Valen's smile drops, and she sighs as she sheathed her long sword.

"No.... I'm scared to bring it up," she admitted, surprising Juno. The Wildling had never seen Valen scared of anything.

"If you never ask, you might regret it," Juno said as she touched her friend's shoulder.

The next morning Sansa is having a nightmare, reliving the attempted rape by the rioters. She tosses and turns in her bed, covered in sweat. "No, no!" she screamed, flinging up into a sitting position. Sansa breathed heavily, looking around as if her attackers were hiding in the shadows until she suddenly felt a wet substance between her legs. She pulls back the covers and sees that her first period has begun. "No. Oh, no," Sansa said in a distraught tone. She gets up, grabs a knife, and tries to remove the bloodstain. All of a sudden, Shae enters the chamber with Sansa's breakfast. When she sees what has happened, She rushes over to help.

"It's all right. Give me that," Shae ordered.

"If the Queen sees, I can have Joffrey's children now," she said in a panicked tone with fear in her eyes.

"Help me flip it over," Shae ordered. While they are trying to flip the mattress, another handmaiden enters. Causing both girls to stop and look at her. The handmaiden turns and rushes out of the room, but a hand instantly wraps around her throat and slams her against the wall by the door. The handmaiden looks at Valen with utter fear in her eyes. At that moment, the cold look in the young Baratheon's eyes reminded Sansa of Cersei.

"And where do you think you're going?" Valen asked in a terrifying tone.

"T...to tell.... Her G..Grace," the handmaiden stuttered. Valen's hand tightened around the woman's throat, cutting off her airways. The handmaiden begins to panic and claws at Valen's arm as her face starts to turn blue. Suddenly Valen loosens her grip, and the woman gasps for air and coughs.

"Now, once more. Where are you going?" Valen asked in a sickly sweet tone.

"T...to finish my duties," the handmaiden said with tears in her eyes.

"And you will never say anything about what you just saw to anyone. Do you understand?" Valen asked.

"Y..yes, Princess, of course," the woman vowed.
