In the courtyard of Deepwood Motte, Sansa, Valen, Jon, and Davos are meeting with Robett Glover. Several men serving under Robett stand in attendance. "The answer is no," Robett said.

Sansa steps forward with her wolf Blue at her side, "Lord Glover, if you could just hear us out," she said.

"I've heard enough. We've only just taken back this castle from the Ironborn. The Boltons helped us do it. Now you want me to fight against them? I could be skinned for even talking to you," he spat.

"The Bolton's helped themselves. They could care less about your family," Valen spat.

"Have other northern houses pledged to fight for you?" Robett asked, ignoring Valen since she was a southerner.

"You have refused to join us, then ask who has? How stupid do you think I am?" Sansa asked with a raised eyebrow.

Robett glares at her, "I received you out of respect for your father. Now I would like you to leave. House Glover will not abandon its ancestral home to fight alongside a little girl," he spat, then turns around and heads up the stairs towards a door attended by his men.

"Lord Glover, I would remind you that House Glover is pledged to House Stark. Sworn to answer when called upon," Sansa pointed out. Jon glares at Sansa as Robett turns on his heel and walks towards her but freezes as Blue snarls at him.

He notices Valen's hand goes to her sword, "You going to kill me, Stag of Blackwater?" Robett asked sarcastically.

"If you give me a reason, too," Valen said coldly, surprising him.

"My family served House Stark for centuries. We wept when we heard of your father's banishment. When my brother was lord of this castle, he answered Robb's call and hailed him King in the North. And where was King Robb when the Ironborn attacked this castle? When they threw my wife and children in prison and brutalized and killed our subjects? Taking up with a foreign whore. Getting his parents and those who followed him killed," Robett spat.

"I am sorry for what happened to your family, but I am not my brother," Sansa said.

"House Stark is dead," Robett said, then turned, climbed the stairs to the door, and walked through it.

Hours later, Jon, Valen, Sansa, and Davos ride horses through the Stark encampment. "Stannis camped here on his way to Winterfell," Davos pointed out.

"Can we not talk about my crazy uncle?" Valen asked in annoyance. In her eyes, Stannis had done too many horrible things for anyone to continue idolizing him.

"My lady, your uncle..," Davos said, but Valen interrupted him.

"My uncle was a dishonorable murderer who burned his own daughter for glory and power! So don't you dare praise him in my presence!" Valen spat in utter rage as tears filled her eyes at the memory of Shireen. Davos looks down as Valen rides off.
