The roof stone slipped underneath Lloyd's feet and he felt himself lose grip of everything around him. Not being able to take control himself, he fell onto his back hard. Even though he wasn't in control, his arms and legs found ways to steady himself from sliding off the roof and down to a certain broken leg or two.
" now now, I thought green ninjas were good at standing on their feet" Harumi chuckles as she climbs up the roof after him. Lloyd, who was free to speak replies:
" only when they're in control, you sure you don't wanna try out the soul syrup yourself?" Lloyd replies coldly, but can't hold back a smile when he sees her role her eyes. Both of them stand on the rooftop, staring down at what would have been Lloyd's doom.
" well, at least you didn't fall" she nervously grins at him. Now it was Lloyd's turn to roll his eyes at her. He then felt his body readying up for continuing their mission.
" Alright Lloyd, time to let you know what's going on and what is to come." Lloyd slowly lowered himself and bent slightly forward. Lloyd was totally surprised when she climbed onto his back.
" I won't be able to jump that" she points at the distance between two houses. Even though he didn't like her, he couldn't exactly deny her either. With Harumi hanging tight onto him, Lloyd ran for it, jumping higher and better than a normal person ever would be able to. The great benefits of being ninja.
With ace, he landed on the other side, with Harumi holding tight onto him. He lowered himself once more to let her climb off his back. He noticed the wide grin on her face.
" that, was so awesome" she mumbled out aloud when she got to her feet. " that better not be our last time jumping rooftops!" Harumi stretched out her hands excitedly, embracing the moment.
Lloyd watched her. Seeing her enjoy that exciting moment somewhat made him feel happy for her. He's been jumping rooftops and dangerous distances his whole life, but this girl, as crazy as she seems, truly took that moment to her heart. He admired her for that...

" we're going to assassinate the dark lord's vessel... before you say that won't fix the problem, I assure you. It will. You think the dark lord is completely back and at his full power, that a lot craves to defeat him. Maybe even your pity for this Brine guy is what's holding you guys back from getting the dark lord out of the way and back down into his hell cell." She speaks.
" But the facts are, the boy is what keeps the dark lord alive up here. If the great dark master was so great and powerful, why does he need a human to be his source of power and vessel?" Harumi eyes Lloyd, waiting for him to speak his mind. Lloyd looked away.
Truth. Her words were the truth. The ninja's were divided on what they wanted to do. They had disagreed on how to take down the dark lord. Kai standing his ground on not killing brine, while Cole wanted to opposite. He wanted to get the job done, no matter the cost of one life.
The disagreement had them split up, go on different missions to figure things out. One thing we all had agreed on for the time being, was to wait with what is to happen to Brine. No killing him yet.

" I am just being completely honest Lloyd. One life in exchange of the entire country, I think that's the right choice to make." Harumi knew this was unethical in some way, but she also believed in it.
" I, don't think it's up to me to make such decisions on who deserves to die or not..." Lloyd replied.
" then who, God? Well if he is so almighty and great, why can't he just get rid of the dark lord already and free the boy from his grasp? I don't see that happening Lloyd. I don't see the almighty save our world" Harumi angrily snaps at him. Lloyd couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about this. He wasn't like his mom who believed in the higher power thingy, but he didn't deny it's possible existence.
" whatever, I'm not going to deal with this. This is our mission. Kill the boy and avenge my father." She clutches her fists.

The fire inside of her burned furiously. Lloyd could see it in the way she gazed down at the city before her. What she had said had also confirmed Lloyd's suspicions. This whole mission of her was an act of revenge.

Harumi walked over to a small metal ladder.
" let's find a place to rest up before we continue. Getting all the way to ninjago city has me exhausted. Mirror spells and distance traveling by magic is soooo draining." She snapped with her fingers, and Lloyd suddenly started moving along with her. Down the ladder and onto a small side street. Even tho the sun had gone down, this part of the outer city circle of ninjago was crowded with people and lights. Without warning, his stomach growled when the smell of food reached his nose. A giggle came from his side.
" hungry?" Harumi giggled.
Lloyd shook his head. No way he was going to admit that to her. And as a matter of fact, he wasn't that hungry. Definitely didn't convince her when his stomach made another call.

" gotta do something about that then." She grabbed Lloyd's uniform and pulled his face down to her level.
" alright, you listen here, before we do find some food, we need to make sure you understand some few things." Her eyes drilled themselves into his. Her golden eyes lit up by the street lights made it hard to not drown in them. They almost looked like glowing lanterns.
" if you as much as say or communicate anything to anyone, I will make sure you never live to see the sun rise again." She grabs his hood and pulls it over his head, hiding his blonde hair underneath it.
" got it?" She eyes him. Lloyd slightly nods. Her eyes definitely told him she was capable of keeping her promise to him, about never seeing the sun rising again.
" I would like to watch it rise again" he replied. Harumi stared at him in silence. She wasn't sure how to take this in.
" whatever!" She let go of his suit and walked towards the busy streets. Them wearing dark colored outfits made of easy for them both to disappear in the crowd and not stand out. Drawing attention to themselves was the last thing they needed.
Lloyd walked by Harumis side as they both studied all the different food stands around the street. All the different smells made them both drool. A gasp escapes Harumi as she spots something further up ahead. She grabs Lloyd's arm and pulls him through the crowd, excitement expressed on her face. Lloyd felt people push and yell at them, but as he walks past a woman and two children in both her hands, he quickly takes a hard turn to avoid knocking the little girl over. The mother and kids quickly disappear in the crowd, but that's not what Lloyd truly cared about. Harumi being fixated on something ahead of them meant she hadn't been aware of them at all. Meaning, he should've walked into them and knock them over. Instead. He had avoided them completely.

" no way!" Harumis excited voice gained Lloyd's attention. As he turned to look at what had caused that sound out of her, he saw her eyes sparkle in awe. Her eyes closed and she inhaled the smell of the food stall they stood at. Her free hand clutched her heart when she did so.
She was doing it again. Whatever reasons she had, this food stall was opening her heart. Lost in her moment, Lloyd kept his eyes on her. He wasn't sure why, but seeing her like this, made him feel happy in some way... she was truly enjoying this moment in such a pure and beautiful way. Small things such as a leep over a rooftop and food stalls, warmed her heart, and witnessing this was melting his as well. Realizing this made Lloyd almost jealous in some ways. With his life having been so busy and full of missions and destiny, he had never really had a moment to just pause time and enjoy whatever small things that made him feel alive...
" here" Lloyd was taken aback by Harumi holding out a bag of grilled meat sticks dipped in a curly sauce at him. He was confused at first, but realized something: He could choose to accept the meal or not...
With a surprised look on his face, he slowly moved his hands and gently accepted the bag of food. He was to stunned to thank her.
" just for now..." She mumbled, looking away and down into her own bag of food. Even though it didn't change the fact that he was being her prisoner, this small act of kindness was... Cute.
