" I don't know what you were thinking, but are you really that dumb?" Cole stood above Damon who just now had opened his eyes, seeing that he wasn't dead. He worryingly turned his head to really see if this was heaven or not, because he had been so certain that this hard been his end. " W..what?" He stammered, overwhelmed by this icy feeling of terror. Was this how someone would feel when they fraced death and knew it was coming? Was this how Armen felt before his last breath was drawn?
" Hey kid!" He felt a slap to his face and his eyes met Coles, who now seemed a bit worried.
" What were you thinking!? The guards would have spotted you and a whole crew of them was waiting on top of the walls too." Damon, now knowing he wasn't dead or in the danger of dying, took a deep breath and let it out. " yeah... I don't know, I.." he wasn't able to think straight. " What happened?" He looked up at Cole, now having questions for him.
" what happened? Seliel saw you climbing the wall, and you were seconds away from being spotted, I saved you by pulling you through the wall with my powers, bringing you to us." So that is what happened. Damon had thought it had been some kind of invisible curse trap, and he had walked straight into it, he was really happy Cole had seen him.
The girl Cole had referred to as Seliel was standing next to him, worryingly looking down at the kid. She had recognised him being a part of the ninja gang and had pointed out to Cole how surprised she was to see him here out of all places.
" so if you're here, does that mean sensei and the others are here too?" Cole asked hopefully. It had been so long since he had seen anyone else but this annoying girl next to him who kept on talking about how the guy who now is a dark lord is good deep down. " well..." Damon hesitate, not sure how to explain his situation. The truth was simple, he wanted revenge for his brother, but he had left the ninja to do the job without them. Wu had kept going on with revenge not being the way, and finding inner peace would help him get over the grief, but Damon only wanted one thing. And that was the death of the man who took Armen from him.
" I ... was sent on a mission to gather intel" He lied.
" intel? Alone?" Cole had a hard time believing him. He couldn't remember the last time Wu had sent anyone on a mission alone, especially into a danger as big as this city. Cole felt Seliel's hand gently grabbing his arm, telling him to leave it be. He wasn't alone anymore and Cole wasn't going to let him stroll off on his own, whatever mission he claimed to have, he was stuck with them now.
" alright kid, from now on you're with us, this place is full of eyes and I think they know you're with us. So keep a low profile and don't run into danger again" Cole gave in. He had to admit that it was nice to see a familiar face again.Whatever was going on out there, Nya knew something wasn't right. Only question was, was this good for her? She sure would be happy to have something good happen to her advantage, this old cell was boring enough. She wasn't sure how long she had stayed in here, but some days must've passed. While she sat there, drawing what was supposed to look like Jay, she heard footsteps coming towards the prison door.
The door to the cellar was swung open and a tall looking fella walked in. She couldn't properly see the face. He walked by every cell, peeking in them to check for prisoners. At least she thought that was it. Was he looking for something? Someone? Or... was he making sure every prisoner was there? One way to find out.
Quickly, she leaped in between two pillars of her cell and lifts herself to the roof. It wasn't a perfect hiding spot but it could work.
The goblin, her new nickname for the guy, now came to pass her cell and peeked inside, just like he had done with the others. He was alone, and Nya couldn't hold back a grin when the guy grunted confused and reached out for his keys. He unlocked the door and took a step inside. He seemed stressed at her absence and was about to step outside when Nya strikes.
Both her feet warped themselves around his neck and with her own weight, forced him backwards and too the ground. With a simple move, she hit a spot on the guys neck and his body went quiet. Confirming that he was unconscious, Nya let go and grabbed his keys. No idea if she was going to need them, but it really wouldn't hurt to be extra careful. She pulled the rest of his body into the sell and pulled off his suit, swapping it with her own. It didn't really fit her, but would help well enough to fool the rest of the league agents around here.
Locking the door, leaving the unconscious guard dressed in her own old suit, she checked the other cells. Most were empty but one. She almost skipped to check the next cell without noticing the guy. A slight grunt had caught her by surprise and she had turned back to check.
" hello?" She peeked inside again and saw the shadow of what seemed to be a guy in the corner.
" don't leave me here..." the shadow replied. Nya couldn't make out the face, but the voice sounded familiar.
" who's there?" She replied.
The guy hesitated, and helps himself up from the ground. With slow steps, he walks out into the dim light of the cell and his face comes clear to her. Nya almost couldn't recognize him as he stood there, green dark eyes looking back at her, the familiar dark hair and that voice..
" Morro..." she whispers.
" it is I"
