Amaryllis McCall did go to school after the accident but she was in a wheel chair being pushed from class to class from a student aide she didn't know. This, the first day of her senior year, is for first time Amy is walking inside and carrying her own things since the accident that claimed the life of her best friend Ally.
Her brother snuck out last night with Stiles to find a dead, body. Amy said she's cover for Scott with their mom so she stayed home and Stiles was totally cool with that. But today is the first day of school. Scott and Stiles will be sophomores and Amy will be a junior.
Amaryllis bows her head when everyone keeps staring at her as she passes them. Their stares didn't bother her while she was hurt but now they unnerve her because she's better. Her right knee still bothers her sometimes so she's not 100% and she doesn't think she ever will be. She's accepted that. But these stares...
Amy goes to her first period advanced level Chemistry class with Mr. Adrian Harris. Harris is a complete dick! Amy has had him for her first three years of high school. Harris isn't as mean to her as he is the others because she's smart and she's good at what she does in his class, each year.
"Did you have a good summer, Miss McCall?" Harris asks.
"I am finally able to walk on my own, Mr. Harris, so I had a great summer," Amy replies.
"Happy for you."
Amy smiles at and she goes to sit beside her former aid named Connor O'Bryan. Connor greets her kindly.
Amy remembers when her brother came home last night. He had a bite on his hip so she called their mom. Melissa stitched him up and put a bandage over her.
Harris isn't talking about the body that was found last night like most teachers probably are. Amaryllis studied her syllabus on her table and she starts getting ready for notes because she knows Harris doesn't do orientations. He just jumps right into the lesson and honestly? Amy can respect that.
After class, Amy goes to her locker which is in the senior hall. There's a new student in the sophomore class named Allison Argent. Amaryllis sees her ex, Caden Whittemore, walking up the hall with some of his lacrosse cop friends. They broke up after the accident. He dumped her.
"Being with a cripple will ruin my reputation," were Caden's exact words to her when he dumped her.
Amy shrugs and she closes her locker.

Amaryllis goes to the lacrosse field to watch her brother practice. Amy winces when Coach Finstock puts Scott on goal. She sees Caden and his brother Jackson sharing a similar smirk.
"Hey," Erin Knight, Caden's new girlfriend, as she sits down.
"Hey," Amy greets her back and she watches as Scott catches a ball.
She leans forward. Ball after ball after ball. Jackson and Caden go next. Jackson first and then Caden. Scott catches them both with ease.
"YES!" Amy jumps up and cheers. "That's my brother! Go Scott!"
Erin sees her boyfriend glaring at Scott and she notices that Amy is giddy.

Amy does her homework that she got in Chemistry. She's not even surprised that Harris gave homework out on the first day. When she's done, she goes to the backyard and starts working with her Goddess powers. She does lighting from hand to hand like a slinky. She doesn't know there are a pair of bright red eyes watching her from the woods, though.

Amy sits in her window seat and she watches the heavy rain and listens to the thunder. Thor, the God Thor, she remembers him being her uncle on her biological mother's side. Her mom told her about Zeusa and about Amy being a half a Goddess.
