Derek and Amy go to check on Jennifer Blake - the English teacher - because Derek did say she was pretty shaken up about what happened in that boiler room. Once they know that Jennifer is okay, they head back to the loft. Amy goes upstairs to take a shower because she and Derek were up all night talking to Cora and Boyd and then they went to the school to talk to Jennifer this morning. Now Derek and Cora are doing some training downstairs to get Cora back into fighting shape.
Amy hears grunting downstairs and Cora pleading when she has the water turned off. She pulls on some leggings and a t-shirt of Derek's before going downstairs. She sees Kali stabbing a pipe through Derek.
"I don't think so," Amy says clearly and she throws her hand out, a bolt of lighting hits Kali and sends her flying off.
Before Kali can sun at Amy, Deucalion quickly raises his cane, halting the alpha. Ennis stands back. He knows that Amy's off limits.
"What... did I say about her?" Deucalion asks slowly... darkly.
"But..."
"Ah-ah," Deucalion scolds Kali, cutting her off. "She is off limits." He lets his eyes go red under his shades and he throws Kali away and she stays down this time. He turns to his daughter before letting his eyes go back to normal.
"Turn to your left," Amy says.
Deucalion puts his hand up to feel her face. Cora hurries to Derek and pulls the pipe out. The two watch the father-daughter duo (Amy came clean to Cora about who her dad was part night).
"Amaryllis," Deucalion speaks as he recognizes the shape of her face. "How are you?"
"I was good until your friend stabbed a pipe into my boyfriend," Amy replies.
Deucalion smirks briefly. "I wish I could apologize for her actions but I'm not even sure she's sorry."
Amy glances at a sizzling Kali and turns back to her biological father. "I think you're right," she replies.
"Stay safe, my girl," Deucalion says and he turns dark again. "Ennis, Kali."
"Are you okay, Derek?" Amy asks.
Derek nods. "Thanks to you," he murmurs, "and for Cora."
"Please, all I did was take the pipe out," Cora says. "Your girl's a badass. She took Kali down and then her alpha dad saved her."
"As I said, I'm a badass," Amy muses and Cora grins.
"I approve, D," Cora says to her brother.
"Good to know," Derek replies in amusement.

Amy goes to Nico's Diner to meet with Deucalion. This diner serves Puerto Rican cuisine and they taste fantastic.
"Hi," she greets as she joins her birth dad at the table.
"Hello again," Deucalion greets.
Amy orders for them both and Deucalion can't help but smirk. He wasn't blind when he met Zeusa and she was the same way. She liked to take control and Deucalion always was amused by it.
"Why do you not want me in your alpha pack?"
"I do," Deucalion admits. "But I won't ask you because you're not in one now. You're an alpha wolf on her one and I, for one, admire that lone-wolf confidence you have." He smells the food as the waiter comes back.
"You know the proper utensil settings?" Amy asks and Deucalion nods. "That's where they are in your side of the table."
"Thank you," Deucalion says honestly and he picks up his fork. "This smells amazing."
"They serve Puerto Rican food here," Amy says. "I come here every Saturday. Sometimes alone, sometimes with Derek or Scott."
"I can understand why," Deucalion replies. "I am sorry for earlier. I sometimes forget you are with Derek Hale. I just... want more alphas for my pack."
"What's it like?" Amy asks. "Being an alpha of alphas?"
"Difficult because everyone wants to make 'the main decision'," Deucalion says, "and to disobey orders, hence why Emmett forced your hand in killing him. He was like that before he shifted and became alpha. It just got... worse."
"I didn't want to kill him."
"I know you didn't," Deucalion replies. "Another reason why I won't ask you to join my pack. We aren't innocent like you are, Amaryllis. I don't wish to strip away whatever innocence you still have left."
Outside, Kali watches them with curious eyes. She's glad that Deucalion wants to be a father to Amy and she's glad that he doesn't let the hybrid cloud his judgement when it comes to being an alpha. Kali always did wonder why Deucalion won't ask Amy to join their pack but she understands now.

Deucalion and Amy talk over their lunch before he leaves with Kali. Amy goes to her Nova outside and she sits inside of it. She thinks about her conversation with her father before she drives back to the apartment building and goes up to Derek's.
"Where did you go?" Derek asks.
"Had lunch with my father," Amy replies. "We spoke about why he doesn't want me in his pack of alphas."
Derek glances up at her, his hazel eyes lock with hers. "Did he give you an answer?"
"Yes," Amy replies and she gives him everything Deucalion said on the reasoning.

"You can have my room at the McCall house," Amy says when Derek asks Isaac to move out. "I basically live here or the heavens or the Underworld anyway."
"Are you sure?" Isaac asks softly.
"Scott and mom will let you in," Amy says.
Isaac hugs Amy and he is zapped away by lightning and that's his ride to the McCall residence.
"Are you sure that was a good idea?" Amy asks her boyfriend as Cora listens from upstairs. "Kicking Isaac out and moving me here?"
"The alpha pack won't go against Deucalion and harm you unlike that Emmett guy," Derek says. "I can protect Cora as much as I can, but I can't protect both her and Isaac."
"But I can protect him just as good as you, if not better with my Goddess powers," Amy says.
Derek walks over and he takes Amy's face into his hands. "Do you trust me?"
"I do," Amy admits.
"Then trust that I kicked Isaac out for a good reason, okay?" Derek asks.
"Okay."
Derek kisses Amy with a kiss full of passion and she moans against his lips before pulling away.
"No, Cora's here," Amy says. "Don't want to scar her for life."
"Thanks!" Cora calls out.
"You're welcome!" Amy calls back and Derek shakes his head in a,use,ent.
Derek walks upstairs and Amy goes to the window to watch the rain and she hears Isaac praying to her.
"I'm okay. Scott and your mom let me stay. Don't be mad at Derek. We'll all be just fine. Thanks for being a good friend. Your bed is comfy, by the way."
Amy smiles to herself and she watches as her uncle Zeus puts on a lightning show, which is probably just for her. It's like a story of how Zeusa sacrificed herself for Amy's safety and eternal life. A,y watches it okay out, as does the supernatural beings who already know Amy's backstory who sees the lightning show.
