Evan "Buck" Buckley is a firefighter at station 118 and he has been for quite some time now. Buck is the youngest member of the team and also the newest. Well that was until Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz turned up.

Eddie had been in the army serving in Afghanistan as a combat medic, prior to arriving at the 118. Buck didn't like how he just fit in so easily. Simply put, he was jealous.

Things between Eddie and Buck didn't start out great, but their friendship had quickly turned around for the better.

Both of them have been through alot together, however there is much more still to come.

...

It had been a week since Buck had been to work and he truly missed it.

Athena had told Bobby that she saw Buck extremely drunk one night and he broke down in her arms. Bobby had then decided that it was best for him to have a week off to figure things out.

It was now 10:35am. The day of which he would return to work. Buck had wanted to get a few more hours of sleep before returning to work later that evening. However, that plan had failed miserably. Instead, he lay there frozen in place after being awoke from his sleep to a bang on the door. Seconds later there were more. Buck waited a few more seconds, waking himself up, before sliding out of bed and making his way to the door.

Buck rubbed his face, squinting as he slowly opened the door, the sun brightly shining in his face.

On the other side of the door stood a beautiful young woman, probably in her twenties. Her hair a honey blonde stopping half way down her back. Hey eyes a crystal blue. Her face however, looked impatient and furious.

"About time!" She snapped.

"Excuse me?" Buck replied with a confused expression.

"Take your things now, I don't ever want to see them again, especially not in my house!" She roared, shoving bags and stuff into Bucks hands and walking off.

Buck snapped back into reality realising that the woman had been a past hook up from nearly 3 years ago. He looked into one of the bags in his hands realising it was all of his personal belongings of which he thought he had lost.

That was until he looked down to something she had left on the floor. Causing him to instantly call Maddie.

...

It was now 1pm and Buck had just arrived at the station. He was the last to arrive. Everyone else was gathered upstairs.

Hen, Chimney and Eddie were all sat around the table, engaging in  conversation, while Bobby was in the kitchen preparing food.

Buck slowly made his way up the stairs, pale faced, looking as though he had just seen a ghost.

"Hey, you okay, Buck?" Eddie questioned the younger firefighter as he walked past him. Hen and Chim exchanging worried glances.

"Buckley!" Eddie said, almost shouting the other boys name.

Buck jumped, refraining himself from sinking further into his thoughts. "hm? Oh sorry, was just thinking about something." Smiling awkwardly at his best friend, who was giving him a look of deep concern.

"You sure your okay, man?" Eddie asked, although he already knew that he wasn't.

"Yeah im okay, just tired. No need to worry." Buck replied, plastering a fake smile on his face. Although he wasn't lying when he said this, he genuinely was tired but he also hadn't been telling the full truth either.
