Thanksgiving was in two days. Hayley had been in AEW for about six weeks. She was quickly rising up the ranks and becoming really popular with the fans. She and Sam had become really good friends. She was on an AEW tour bus with some people, including Sam. Sam sat down next to her.

"Hi Hayley." He said.

"Hi Sam."

"Going to your family's for Thanksgiving."

"No, I don't have any family, neither does Lucas." "I'm cooking."

"What happened to your family?"

"My mom died in a car accident when I was two." "My dad died of a massive heart attack when I was twelve."

"I'm sorry." "Holidays must be hard on you."

"Well I don't remember my mom and my dad was a violent bastard."

"He hit you?"

"When he wasn't tell me how much of a bitch I was."

"Where did you go after he died?"

"Foster care."

"At least it got better after that."

"Actually no." "The family that took me in had two biological children." "They treated them like gold and treated me like trash." "I was nothing but a check." "My first Christmas with them...

Flashback

Hayley and her foster brother and sister came down Christmas morning. The foster brother and sister had stacks of presents. Hayley turned to her foster mother.

"Don't I get any presents?" She asked.

"We provide you with food and shelter, that's enough."

End Of Flashback

"That's terrible." Sam said.

"I was with them until I aged out at eighteen." "I was homeless for a little while." "I didn't even go on my first date till I was twenty-four."

"Who was that with?"

"Lucas, he's the only one that's ever loved me." "He's all I have." "Are you and Priscilla going to your families?"

"Yeah."

She could tell something was on his mind. "Are you two still fighting?"

"Yeah." "I love her but I don't know how much more I can take."

The next afternoon Hayley walked through the door of her home.

"I'm home." She said. Lucas came into the living room from the kitchen. He was a foot and a half taller then her, so he towered over her. He had short blonde hair and light green eyes.

"Hi sweetie." They kissed. He picked her up off the ground. They went upstairs.

The next day they were eating Thanksgiving dinner. Suddenly they could both smell something burning.

"Oh shit." She said. They both ran into the kitchen. Hayley opened the oven and the pumpkin pie she was baking was burnt to a crisp.

"Well that's just great." Lucas said irritated. "You know that's my favorite."

"I'm sorry."

"God, you're so stupid." "You can't even make a pie."

"I can make another one."

"Just forget it."

An hour later she was sitting on the couch. Lucas sat down next to her.

"I'm sorry." She said.

"That's ok." "I hate it when I have to do that." "You know I'm the only one that loves you."

"I know." They kissed. Their relationship hadn't always been that way. He slowly eased into it. He knew it would be easy due to her past abuse and hunger for someone to love her.
