HENDRIX'S POV
I’m back at the ministry patiently waiting for Bones to contact the old geezer so that we could have a short trial for him. She opened her door and sighed, “He’s on his way, let's go meet him at one of the trial rooms, this should be quick,” she said as she began to lead me down to a trial room.
I felt excitement bubble up in me as we took the lift. When we arrived we practically ran to the trial room, when we entered Dumbledore was already there waiting. He turned and narrowed his eyes slightly, clearly suspicious of me. “Madam Bones I got your message, what is the meaning of this?” he asked skeptically. “Lord Hendrix please wait outside for a moment,” Bones said, I nodded and left the room.

It’s now been about 45 minutes and the doors are finally opening. Dumbledore stormed out first, harshly glaring at me as he went, Bones soon followed, “Congratulations Lord Hendrix, you are now the rightful guardian to Harry James Potter,” she smiled. I sighed in relief before sharing a smile with her, “Thank you Madam Bones, I’m assuming that there will be certain protocols?” she nodded in agreement as she sighed, “It’s nothing against you, it's just for the child's safety,” I nodded to her, “I will need to do a check in once a month for three months, if all three check ins are acceptable then I will no longer bother you,” I nodded once again, “Then I’ll see you for my check ins, if you don’t mind I’m going to go get my ward,” with a final smile and nod I apparated away.
I appeared back at number four Privet Drive, I knocked on the door and waited. I felt joy fill me as I continued to wait. I knocked again a little impatient, the sooner I got Harry the better. I furrowed my brows as I raised my fist again to knock, I knocked a little bit harsher this time. I heard a hard slam and some grumbling, “What do you bloody want,” the man of the house shouted as he opened the door, “Vernon Dursley? I am here for Harry James Potter,” I stated as I narrowed my eyes at him. He looked me up and down as he growled, “Well come on in and get the brat, aren’t you a little early? I thought this happened when he was eleven,” he grumbled as he motioned for me to follow him in.
I followed him and had to clench my fist as I saw the state of Harry, a fresh bruise was on his arm and he had a bloody lip. “Harry it’s time for me to take you,” I said, my voice strained, he looked shocked then bowed his head, “I need to make dinner first sir,” he said I heard Vernon mumble something close to a “damn right”. I frowned at the wretched man before turning back to Harry with a soft smile, “No you don’t Harry, you’re only a child. It’s not your job, it’s an adult's job.” As I said the last part I glared over at Vernon, he stuttered for a moment, “He’s under my roof therefore he does as I say!” he bellowed, I turned to him fully and glared, “Then why don’t you make your other child work? I’m taking him with me, make your own damn food,” I growled as I walked over to Harry and gently laid my hand on his shoulder, “Come Harry we’re leaving,” with that said I apparated to the manor.

When we arrived Harry instantly hunched over and gagged. “Sorry about that, it’s alright if you ralf, most people do after their first time,” I shrugged as I gently patted his back. “Wha- What was that?” he gasped. I smiled as I began to gently lead him to the kitchens, “That was apparating. You will be able to do it when you’re much older,” he nodded in understanding as he began to take in his surroundings. “Where are we?” he awed, I smiled down at him, “We are in the LeFay manor in Germany, the Black Forest to be more precise. Thoroughly hidden from the muggles” I explained as we continued to walk, “Muggles sir?” He looked at me puzzled, “You can just call me Hendrix or Mentor, but yes muggles, the non-magical folk,” I explained as we continued to walk.He made a face of understanding, “Mentor… Why did you take me from my uncle and aunt?” he seemed puzzled as he looked up at me. “They were not taking proper care of you. You are a child of mother Hecate Harry, you’re a wizard. You need to be treated as such and people that constantly call you a freak and beat you aren't good for you,” I sighed as I gently patted his shoulder. “I’m a wizard?” he awed. I smirked down at him as we continued to walk. “Thank you, Mentor,” he smiled.
I watched his face as I opened the door to the kitchens, his jaw instantly hit the floor as he saw all the elves, “Nifty!” I hardly got her name out of my mouth before she appeared before me, “This is Harry Potter, he is my ward. If he needs anything please see to it that he’s well taken care of,” I told her nicely, she turned to Harry and bowed, “Hello young master, I be Nifty,” she said with a bow. Harry stuttered for a moment, “Hel- hello,” he whispered. She smiled at him sweetly “Why Master Hendrix he's being too skinny. Nifty be fattening him ups,” she tsked as she scurried back into the kitchens.
I gently led Harry to where he could sit on one of the stools. I watched as he marveled at everything, “Can I come down here anytime Mentor?” he asked as he looked at me with wide, hopeful eyes. “Of course you can, just know I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to Harry. I want everything you do to be of your own accord.” I sighed as I ruffled his hair. He smiled and nodded. “Ok.”

I showed Harry to his room, which he seemed to really like, it was the heirs room. It was a pretty decent size and like the rest of the house had dark wood floors and dark wood furniture. It had silver accents and a nice white rug. “This is mine?” he had asked. I smilled and nodded as I watched him admire his new room happily, he carefully sat on the bed and smiled. "I'll leave you be so that you can get settled in. I'm right down the hall if you need anything," I said as I began to step out. "Thank you Hendrix," he whispered with a shy smile, I returned the smile and wished him a gentle good night closing the door behind me. Once the door was close I sighed as I ran my hand down my face. It had been a long day and I was ready to go to sleep, but there was something that I still needed to do.
I threw on my black cloak and apparated, I appeared in an old dusty stairwell, one that I remembered all too fondly. “Who’s you?” A gravelly voice said from behind me, I turned and looked down at Kreacher, “I am the Lord of House LeFay and Peverell, I am here for that necklace Regulus gave to you to destroy,” I said as I watched the miserable elf. He looked at me skeptically, “What do yous plans on doing to its?” he asked as he shuffled slightly. “I need to destroy it,” Kreacher’s eyes widened before he turned and scurried to his cupboard. I followed behind him and observed Grimmauld Place. I smiled fondly at all the memories that this place held. “Here’s” he said breathlessly as he appeared back in front of me, necklace out stretched. I smiled down at him as I took, “Would you like me to bring it back once it’s destroyed?” I asked, the old elf eagerly nodded, “Yes please oh great Lord,” he weeped.
I sighed as I flopped down onto my bed and observed the necklace, I could practically see the dark magic rolling off of it. I tossed it into my bedside drawer, I’m not going to destroy it, I’m just going to extract the soul that’s in it then for Kreacher’s sake act like I destroyed it. I sighed as I rolled over and finally went to sleep.
