THORSTANS POV

The next morning I was impatiently waiting in the lounge for Hendrix. He was taking far too long to get ready. I huffed as I paced from one end of the room to the other. “Did you wait long?” I glared over at Hendrix who sounded all too pleased with himself. “You take longer than a woman you know,” I sighed as I made my way to the floo, Hendrix shrugged, “I beg to differ, the title belongs to Lucius,” he chuckled. I blinked at him for a moment before sighing. “Let’s get going, the sooner we get married the better,” I grabbed a handful of powder, yelling out my destination.

I stepped out into the Leaky Cauldron ignoring all the eyes that watched me, Hendrix stumbled out then, almost falling, though luckily I was able to catch him, he landed safely within my arms pressed firmly against my chest. We both stood there for a moment before Hendrix withdrew himself, he cleared his throat awkwardly, “Thanks,” with which he then turned and began the trek to Gringotts. I chuckled as I followed close behind him. I walked right next to him as close as possible, making it appear as if we were truly a couple. Like before we both bowed to the goblins as we entered the bank, passing all the tellers to go straight to the one in charge, asking to see Gryh.

I scowled as I practically crawled the door, having to do an awkward duck walk to get in. I noticed the humorous smile that graced Gryh’s lips and decided then that the goblin was twisted, more so than others. “Gryh we have come to establish a marriage contract,” Hendrix stated as he collapsed in one of the stairs, making himself a cup of the offered tea. Gryh glanced at me, “Hopefully not to him,” he sneered, curling his lip in disgust. I raised my brow at him, “I’m sorry?” I asked, appalled. “Yes to him, it’s for diplomatic reasons. It’s very beneficial to us,” Hendrix sighed.

Gryh raised his brows at him, “May I remind you that this is the very same man who murdered your ward's family, demolished entire British magical bloodlines, and was labeled one of the worst dark lords in history?” Gryh sighed in exasperation, snatching the tea cup away from Hendrix. Hendrix glared at him, “I am well aware yes. Though when he did those things he only had a seventh of his mind, in other words he was completely insane. He recognizes now that his actions were horrible to say the least, and he is trying to repent for them by entering into the political field to, at the very least, repair some of the damage that he has done,”  Hendrix counters, his eyes ablaze with indignation.

Gryh silently judged him, “I trust your judgment. Even if I do find it idiotic,” Gryh sighed as he snapped his fingers causing a parchment to stretch out across the desk. “I will need you both to prick your fingers and sign here,” he sighed as he sent me a glare, handing us both quills. We pricked our fingers with the quills and wrote down our names, sealing the marriage contract and binding us together. “Good, now Hendrix, if you could wait in the hall I need to speak to your now husband alone. I’ll send him out with the seals,” Gryh was watching me with deadly eyes, making me nervous.

The door clicked shut, to me it sounded too loud in the intense silence that filled the room. I swallowed as I took the seat across from Gryh, “What is it you needed to speak to me about?” I asked, allowing myself to feel calm. “I am going to tell you this once boy and only once, if you do anything to hurt Hendrix Peverell LeFay or Harry James Potter, I will wreck absolute chaos and destruction upon your life. I will cut your fingers off one by one, pluck out your eyes and feed it to you in a stew full of your own blood and intestines. Do I make myself clear,” it wasn’t a question. “Yes. I swear that I will never do anything to hurt them,” I swore, trying my damn hardest to remain calm. Gryh smiled then, though it was anything but friendly, “Good,” with that he slid the marriage seal over to me.

I took them and carefully placed one around my neck, I then walked out of the office with the traditional farewell. I found Hendrix sitting a few feet away from the door silently waiting as he amused himself with his patronus. “Let’s go,” I sighed as I passed him, he shuffled as he stood and quickly followed after me, “Did you get the seals?” he asked. I silently passed him his seal, he observed it for a moment before slipping it on. “It’s a bit heavy,” he stated with a sigh, clearly not pleased. I chuckled at him, very much amused by his disdain, “It could always be heavier,” I reminded.

We left the bank, confidently striding through Diagon Alley, allowing the crowd to see the seals on full display. I saw a slight flash out of the corner of my eye, I smiled as I held my arm out to Hendrix, he sighed as he took it and I drew him in closer, making it appear as though we were truly a couple. I leant down slightly to whisper in his ear, though I noticed him shiver, “They’re taking pictures. Try your best to seem as though you actually like me,” I whispered. He smiled up at me, I felt something that I was unfamiliar with stir in my chest, “You worry too much dear,” he said a little too sweetly.

Once we reached the leaky cauldron entrance we apparated back to the manor. I sighed as I took a seat on the couch. “When are you going to introduce me to Harry?” I asked. Hendrix glared over at me, “I’ll have to introduce you during the Christmas break, though we cannot tell him who you truly are. Although Harry is a very understanding and gentle yet brave soul, I feel as though he won’t take too kindly to you making him an orphan,” he said as he turned to grab a book off the shelf. “You forgave me,” I pointed out, he snorted as he turned back to me, “I didn’t forgive, I just saw a good political opportunity with you. I still think of you as a terrible man, I am just hoping that you have a little dignity and are reforming yourself, which so far you are proving me right,” he sneered as he picked a book and began to exit the room, “If you need me I’ll be in my study.”

“Actually Hendrix I am going to go out with one of the goblins to look at some old properties and choose one to reside in, if you would like to come along,” I said, raising my brow. He raised his brow right back, “I would love to but I really do need to get some work done,” he sighed before turning to leave. I scoffed as I stood and picked out a book, “Nifty?” I called, and she popped up in front of me with wary eyes, “Whats can Nifty be doing for the pretty one?” she asked, “Can you please make sure that I make it to my appointment in three hours?” I asked politely, Nifty nodded before popping away.

HENDRIX’S POV

I angrily slammed my book down on my desk, glaring down at it, as if it was the thing that offended me. I sighed as I collapsed into my chair, glaring at the book shelf across from me, I allowed myself to sink into my chair, rubbing my hand down my face. I looked up at the ceiling and allowed myself to revel in my thoughts, Tom is an ass. I really hate him, everything about him made me annoyed. His stupid perfect hair, his stupidly handsome face and his stupid reformation. I clenched my jaw as I closed my eyes, though that did not help me whatsoever. He just appeared in my mind's eye, I could perfectly picture him. His strong jaw and cheek bones, his slightly red eyes, I didn’t allow myself to go lower on his facial structure even if it was just in my mind.

I opened my eyes and swallowed, “Dammit.”
