BLAISE'S POV

I cornered the twins, "I think your kissing potion lasted a lot longer than expected," I hissed. They both laughed, "Our potion works just fine, we've tested it several times,""and each time it lasted exactly two minutes,"" but since you've fancied Harry since first year,""it's a lot harder to get over," they said.

I sighed as I pinched the bridge of my nose. "What am I supposed to do?" I sighed exasperatedly. "Maybe finally tell the poor thing that you like him?" Fred suggested as George cackled. "No. Harry isn't the type to date, let alone date friends," I sighed. "He doesn't like people like that," I shrugged as I began to walk to Magical Creatures class, knowing Harry would be there. It's his favorite class, after all.

I walked down the hill to the forest, spotting Harry. I felt my body surge. It's been like that since the potion, anytime that Harry was even near me, I would feel my body surge and my blood begin to warm, I would feel every single instinct in me try to go to him, try to touch him in ways that would get me killed by his fathers.

I clenched my jaw as I distanced myself, "Still struggling?" Draco asked as he began to walk beside me. I sighed and nodded. "Have you thought that maybe you should just kiss him and get over it?" He grinned. "And have Thorstan and Hendrix kill me? Potentially ruin my friendship with Harry forever? No thanks to both," I sighed. Draco rolled his eyes, "You're more dramatic than me. Don't be dollop head and just get it over with," he glared.

I glared back at him as we joined the rest of the class, who were just standing and waiting for Hagrid to begin. Draco shoved me forward, I stumbled forward, stopping next to Harry, I whipped around and glared at Draco. I felt like I was shaking trying to restrain myself.

Hagrid began the lesson, pulling out a cage with a creature secured within it. It seemed to be a brownie who was happily carving away at some wood. Harry smiled as he watched the brownie work. Hagrid began to explain the brownies' behaviors and on its danger scale. I watched Harry. He was enthralled with the lesson, listening intently. His eyes sparkled. He was practically glowing with excitement.

I felt my breath hitch as I tried to tear my eyes away, but I couldn't. My body moved closer without my consent. I immediately forced myself away, stumbling back and away. Away from the class. Away from Harry.

HARRY'S POV

I scowled as Blaise avoided me like the plague. I was getting sick of it. I walked into the bathroom, catching Blaise at the sink and washing his hands. He stiffened as he spotted me. He immediately stopped what he was doing, he quickly dried his hands and tried to move past me.

I quickly snatched his sleeve. He ripped his arm away from me and stumbled away as if I had burnt him. "What the hell?" I asked as I took a step towards him. He quickly took three steps back. "What is your problem?! You're treating me as if I'm one of your moms' boyfriends!" I sneered as I continued to step towards him. He eventually cornered himself against the wall.

"Did I do something? Are you angry at me? Did I do something to hurt or offend you?" I asked as I stepped even closer to him. He pressed himself up against the wall, his body completely stiff. "Harry..." he began, "Whatever you say next better be good," I practically growled. I got in his face.

"Harry. Move." He growled through his teeth. "No," I glared, stepping closer, I blinked as Blaise shoved me away. "Harry. Just leave me alone right now! Is it too hard to ask for some damn space!" He yelled. I flinched, I tried really damn hard not to, but I did.

Blaise’s demeanor immediately changed. He took a hesitant step towards me, "Harry, I-" he began, but I cut him off. "Don't talk to me... I thought you were one of the closest people to me, but I see I was wrong. I don't mind if you continue to talk to everyone. Just stay away from me," I sneered, I felt tears welling up, but I pushed them down and stormed out.

I stormed my way all the way to Remus, out of habit. I opened his door and flopped on his couch, pulling out his secret stash of chocolate.

THORSTAN'S POV

I sighed as the work day finished. I left the classroom and began to walk towards the great hall. "Thorstan, I have a very distraught Harry in my room eating all of my emergency chocolate," Remus sighed as he approached me. My brows furrowed as I followed him to his room.

When I walked in, I immediately sat next to Harry, "What happened?" I asked as I pulled him into a hug. He sighed. "Blaise is being an ass," he sighed. I raised my brow, both Remus and I shared a look. "Really? Maybe he's going through something?" I asked.

Blaise was obviously very much enthralled by Harry, much to my abhorrent. Hendrix thought it was adorable. I sighed, I'm going to kill him, I'm going to destroy Blaise if he doesn't fix this.

"Want me to ruin his life?" "Thorstan!" Both Harry and Remus scolded. I huffed. "It's justified! Harry doesn't deserve to feel like a centaur walked all over him because of some boy," I sneered. Remus sighed and nodded. "I know it doesn't feel good when someone you deeply care for suddenly starts to act cold towards you. But when they do that, it's because something happened... maybe talk to him, make sure he's alright." Remus smiled.

"I'M GOING TO BEAT HIS ASS!" Sirius hollered as he slammed open the door, startling all of us. "Sirius, calm down. We already fixed the issue. Sit down and have some chocolate," Remus sighed. We all laughed as Sirius sulked as he took a bite of chocolate.

HARRY'S POV

I went with Sirius, Remus, and Thorstan to the kitchens, not wanting to go to the great hall and be around other students. I gladly sat on one of the stools at the counter, immediately some of my comfort food appearing in front of me. I smiled as I ate, listening to the men talk around me. Though it was more like bickering than talking. I laughed as Sirius childishly threw a piece of broccoli at Thorstan, who in return doused him in water. Remus and I laughed and watched in amusement as a food fight broke out between the two. I smiled as I enjoyed a treacle tart.

I said goodnight to everyone as I headed back to my dorm. I entered the common room to find Blaise, Theo, Draco, and Daphne. They all fell silent as I entered. "Don't let me stop your discussion," I sighed as I tilted my head in annoyance. I made eye contact with Draco and jutted my head to the stairs, my indication clear. Leave.

Draco stood and ushered everyone, but Blaise, out of the room. Everyone quickly left, heading either out of the common room to go to bed or out to another part of the castle. I didn't watch them go, I kept my eyes on Blaise, who stared right back.

"I thought you didn't want me to speak to you," he said as he leaned back against the couch. I sighed as I didn't bother to move closer, staying near the door. "I was told to make sure you're alright... you're acting unusual," I sighed. I watched him clench and unclench his jaw. "I'm fine, I just need space, Harry," he sighed as he looked away. He pensively stared into the fire, I watched him.

"What are you thinking?" I asked as I finally began to walk towards him. Once I was about two feet away, he stood and made his way across the room. I stopped, "Why do you avoid me? Have I done something?" I asked as I sighed. He swallowed and shook his head, "You've done nothing. I'm just... I need space," he sighed as he took a few more steps away.

"You keep saying that like it's a reasonable excuse, but it's not," I glared as I began to walk towards him again. For every step I took, he took three back till he bumped the window that looked out into the black lake. I stopped three steps away from him, I was scowling at him. "Harry, I wish I could tell you, but I can't. It's not something you want to know, trust me," he sighed as he leaned against the window, his jaw clenched.

"You don't get to decide that. I want to know, I want to be able to help my friend!" I allowed my annoyance to show. I took another step forward, to which Blaise flung out his hand to stop me. "Don't come any closer," he sighed. I tested his patience by stepping closer again, "Harry, I know you want to help, but for Merlin's sake, please respect my boundaries!" He snarled as he took a threatening step forward, putting us almost chest to chest.

I glared up at him, "Talk to me... please. I don't want to lose my closest friend, I don't want to lose you," I sighed as I took a step back, finally looking away from him.

He wrapped his arm around my waist, he tilted my chin up with his finger, and before I could even begin to process my surprise.
He pressed his lips against mine.
