HARRY’S POV

I watched as Hendrix and Thorstan spoke to each other softly, I was acting like I was reading, which technically before I was. Now I was trying to eavesdrop, “Don’t bother Hades, they put up a privacy ward,” Sirius laughed from beside. I glared at my two guardians, “What do you think they’re talking about?” I asked. Sirius laughed again, “Let’s make a game out of it then,” he chortled. “I think they’re talking about a magical artifact,” I bet, Sirius thought for a moment. “I think they’re talking about Dumbledore,” Sirius smiled. I raised a brow at him, “The Headmaster? My old guardian?” I asked. Sirius nodded an evil smile gracing his lips.

“What are the two of you whispering about?” Thorstan asked with amusement as he raised his brow at us. We just shrugged in answer, “What were you talking about?” Sirius asked in return, “We were talking about something important, nothing you should concern yourself with,” Hendrix said as he stood. “I’m heading off to bed. Harry you’re coming with, it’s way past your bedtime,” Hendrix said as he held his hand out to me. I shook my head, “Actually I need to talk to Thorstan about something,” I shrugged, Hendrix sighed and nodded his head “Well alright then,” he sighed. “Sirius let’s go,” he demanded.

Thorstan and I watched as Hendrix and Sirius left. “What is it you need to speak with me about?” he asked as he moved to sit next to me, “Um… actually it’s something I overheard at school. You see, there was this girl and a Weasley. They were talking about something. They were talking about the forbidden fourth floor and this three headed dog and this Nicholas Flamel fellow. Well I did some of my own digging, but I don’t know why they were so enthused with what’s behind the dog,” I rambled. Thorstan raised his brow, “Is that so?” he sighed.

“The three headed dog is known as a Cerberus, it’s a species of creature that is designed to guard things. So whatever is behind that dog is important and belongs to the Flamel’s… I would stay away from it if I were you,” he sighed as he shook his head. “Whatever is behind that door is dangerous Harry, and as your guardian I advise you to stay away from it, also knowing that you’ve been around Hendrix alot I also suggest that you don’t give into your curiosity,” he sighed as he stood and held out his hand to me, “Hendrix and I cannot protect you at the school, it has its own protections that doesn’t allow us to apparate in to help you. Now let’s get you to bed,” I took his hand as we left the library.

“Promise me you won’t go seeking out trouble Harry,” he pleaded as we began our walk to my room, “I promise I won’t go seeking out trouble… but trouble always seems to find me,” I sighed as I tried not to pout, Thorstan chuckled as he shook his head, “You’ve definitely been around Hendrix too much, he’s the exact same in that sense,” he chuckled some more. He opened the bedroom door and led me inside, “Good night Harry I’ll see in the morning all right?” he said as he gently patted my head, “Thorstan?” I hesitated, “Yes?” he asked as he watched me for a moment, “I saw this mirror… and when I looked in it, it wasn’t just me… it was my parents and Hendrix and Sirius and Remus… what was it?” I asked hesitantly. Thorstan blinked for a moment, “That was the mirror of Erised, it’s a mirror that shows you your deepest desires, stay away from it. Men will sit in front of it and waste away, I will not allow you to do the same, so please stay away from that as well,” he sighed. I nodded, “Okay I promise,” I smiled.

I leaned forward and gently hugged him, he blinked for a moment before hugging me back, “Goodnight Harry.”

THORSTAN’S POV

I blinked, as I exited Harry’s room, I immediately began to walk to Hedrix’s and I’s now conjoined room. I knocked before entering, only to appreciate what was in front of me, a shirtless Hendrix slowly putting on a sleep shirt, only standing in some silk sleeping shorts, that’s when I noticed that the shirt he was holding was one of mine. “I think we need to make that trip we were talking about early dear, Harry is curious about it.” I sighed as I continued to appreciate the view. He sighed and nodded, “He gets his curiosity from you,” I chuckled, causing him to chuckle too.

“I think we should add some extra protection to the stone, it rightfully belongs to the Flamel’s, who are we to take it from them,” he sighed as he got comfortable in the bed. I sighed in agreement as I began to strip down. “I believe you’re right… you know… I really am becoming very fond of Harry,” I smiled. Hendrix chortled, “He’s a hard kid not to like,” he agreed. “So what form of protection should we add on to it? Something that would be hard to pass but not deadly because we both know that Harry might go after it,” Hendrix sighed as he sank into the bed, giving me his full attention. I thought for a moment, “How about we add a little bit of extra warding, something that will deter people from wanting it… although I do believe that the stone shouldn’t be in any danger considering I’m not whispering into Quirrell’s mind anymore. Though honestly he is a somewhat selfish man so it might be wise… we’ll have to see,”  I sighed as I rubbed my temples in frustration.

Hendrix sighed with me, “How are we going to get into the school, it was hard when I snuck in last time, I feel like it’ll be harder if we try again,” he sighed, I nodded as I thought, “How did you get into the school last time?” I asked, “Some secret passageway from HoneyDukes.” I looked at him with a raised brow, I’m very familiar with every tunnel and passageway of Hogwarts, mainly from the Basilisk and my own exploration, “How do you know about that?” I asked skeptically. He only shrugged and smiled, “There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me Tom, and quite frankly I don’t think I can ever tell you,” he smiled softly. I grimaced as I sat next to him, “That’s going to bother me,” I sighed. He only shrugged in response, “Don’t care,’ and with that he turned over and went to sleep.

I looked at him flabbergasted before shaking my head. I turned off the light and nestled myself into the blankets. I went to snuggle Hendrix into me only to be met by an invisible barrier separating us. I blinked before sighing and turning over to try and get some sleep.

IMPORTANT

Dear Readers,
I am considering taking a short break from the story. It won’t be too long of a break, I just need to get some thoughts together and allow myself to cope. I have recently gone through something that somewhat traumatized me and I really just need a quick break. I promise not to make you all wait too long.
Sincerely,
