Dr. Shoko let out sigh of relief as Y/N finally passed the critical condition. She take a seat on the chair and runs her hand through her hair. She have never been so exhausted while performing a treatment. She turn to look at the h/c haired girl who's still unconscious.

What is she?

3rd P.O.V

Everyone has awaken and are slowly recovering from their battle with the special grade curse. The only one who's still bedridden is Y/N. The h/c haired girl who is still laying on her bed, still haven't regained her consciousness. Her comrades are getting restless and anxious about her recovery.

Inumaki makes his way towards the room Y/N's in. He enters the room and take a seat on the empty chair near Y/N's bed. Three of Y/N's friend also enters the room as they gathers around the h/c haired girl. Behind him followed Panda and Maki, as they gathered inside Y/N's room. Their worry for the girl keeps increasing each passing days.

Itadori clenched his hands into tight fists. "Why did we let this happened to Y/N-Chan? If only we can be stronger. She wouldn't have to use that technique" he said. The others just stays silent, as they all feel angry at themselves.

"Don't be so harsh on yourselves. It was Y/N's own choice. She did it to protect all of you. I've never seen Y/N acted like that before, and I've only known her for a short time. But I can see how much Y/N cares for you" someone said. They turn their heads to see their teacher. Maki looks away from her Sensei.

"That's just makes it worse. It's our fault that she have to use her technique. She knew she'll be in this kind of condition. But she ignored the risk. All of that... so she can protect us..." she said, clenching her hands tightly. Kugisaki shakes her head, the dread is slowly getting to her. She stands up from her spot and walks up to Y/N.

She leans down, placing both of her hands on Y/N's shoulders. "Y/N! Hey, can you hear me, huh? Wake up, Y/N! Don't do this to us!" She said, shaking Y/N's body with tears in her eyes. Inumaki quickly gets up from his spot to stop Kugisaki from shaking the unconscious girl.

"Fish flakes!" He said. Inumaki is also worried for the girl. She's the only one who's unaffected by his cursed speech. That makes him wants her to be okay more than anyone, because he believes that he can be himself around Y/N. He didn't have to worry about accidentally cursing her.

The door slides open the reveal Dr. Shoko. "Alright, kids. Visiting hours is over. The patient needs to rest. Go on" she said. Everyone turn to look at Y/N one last time before leaving the room one by one.

Inumaki lingers behind for a bit. He walks towards Y/N. He leans down, unzipping the collar of his shirt and gently place a soft kiss on the girl's forehead. He moves a little, so his lips is right next to Y/N's ear.

"Please be okay, Y/N" he whispered softly. He stands straight and smiles sadly behind his collar. He gently runs his hand through Y/N's hair. He slowly turn around and make his way out of the infirmary room.

A few weeks have passed since Y/N's drained her cursed energy. Everyone is becoming even more restless as the girl is showing no sign of waking up, mostly Inumaki. The white haired boy keeps coming to the room Y/N's in to check on her. But so far, he's met with no progress on the girl's health.

He enters the room. This time it was only him. He make his way towards the chair near Y/N's bed. He take a seat and scoots it closer to Y/N's side. He just sit there in silence, staring at the ground for a while. He let out a deep sigh and finally turn to look at Y/N. The girl just lay on the bed, without moving an inch.

"Y/N... wake up" he whispered. At time like this is when Inumaki hoped his cursed speech works. But even if his cursed speech works, Y/N is immune to it. He clenched his hands into tight fists. He just wants Y/N to wake up. No... he needed her to wake up.

"Wake up, Y/N... p-please..." he said. But of course, he didn't get any response from the girl. He lowers his head, letting his bangs is covering his eyes. He gritted his teeth.

"Just when I thought... there will be someone I can talk to, without having to worry about my cursed speech. You... ended up in this condition. Giving me nothing but silence. A deafening silence" he said. His voice cracks a little towards the end of the sentence.

He let out a frustrated yell as he stands up, hovering above Y/N. He holds both of her shoulders as he starts to shake her lightly. Inumaki starts to feel desperate. He feels like if Y/N didn't wake up any time soon, he's going to lose it.

"Why... why did you use it, Y/N? Why did you use it when you're fully aware that you're going to get hurt after it! Why, Y/N? Why???" He started yelling at the unconscious girl.

"Inumaki-senpai, stop!" Someone said, entering the room. Inumaki feels a hand on his shoulder, but he quickly shrugs it off. He keeps shaking Y/N, doing anything for the h/c haired girl to wake up.

"Wake up, Y/N! Wake up!" He yelled out, while still shaking the girl. He feels a hand yanking him away from Y/N by the shoulder. The person turns him to face them, giving him a slap on the cheek. Inumaki's face turns side way because of the impact. He hold his cheek as he turns to look at the person. It's Kugisaki.

"Senpai... I know you're sad. I am too. But we have to keep a calm mind for Y/N. She's doing everything she can to protect us. So we have to do the same for her. We have to stay strong..." she said. Inumaki just turn his head away from her, turning to look at Y/N who's still showing no sign of waking up. He drops on his knees next to Y/N's bed. He hesitated at first, but finally holds her hand.

He can feel tears slowly building up in his eyes. He blinks his eyes, letting the tears streams down his cheeks. He let out a choked sob, as he stares at Y/N in desperation. "Please, Y/N. Wake up...
