Chapter 24

"I'm so sorry, Toge..." I said. He tightens his arms around me. "Don't leave me again" he said. I just tighten my arms in response. He just keep holding onto me, as if he's scared that I might disappear. I can't blame him... after all, I've left him for 2 whole years. But now, I'm not going anywhere. I'll be with him... always.

-Come Back To Me-

Y/N P.O.V

We gather in my room, which surprisingly fits all of them. Toge sits next to me on the bed, holding my hand firmly. He's acting like I'm going to run off if he ever remove his hand from mine.

"So... how did you all find me?" I asked, breaking the silence that's been lingering between us. Panda turn to look at me. "Well... next time if you're trying to not get found. Keep a low profile" he said. I stare at him in confusion.

"What do you mean, Panda?" I asked. He let out a chuckle at what I said. "What he meant is... this village you're in now used to be overrun by curses. Then suddenly, it became peaceful and rumors spread out about a special girl who made it livelier ever since her arrival. So we had a hunch that it was you" Fushiguro said. I blush deep shade of red at what he said.

"It's kind of almost like asking to be found, Y/N" Maki said. I just rub the back of my neck sheepishly. "Right" I said. I feel an arm wrap around me. I turn my head to see Toge. He pulls me closer, making me lean my head on the crook of his neck.

"Don't ever leave me again, Y/N... come back to me" he said. I just close my eyes, letting myself melt in his arms. "I'm sorry... I thought that I was doing this for the best. I hadn't realize how much I'm hurting you" I said. He pulls away and moves to kneels down in front me.

"Will you come back to the city with me?" He asked. I bit my lips as I turn to look at the others. They also stares at me expectantly. I focus on Toge again as he stares at me with a pleading gaze.

"But... you mother" I said, looking down. He feel his hand giving my hand a light squeeze. I turn my head to look at him. He gives me a reassuring smile. "My mother doesn't matter. What matter is you... I want you to always be with me" he said. I just stare at him, not knowing what to say.

"He hasn't been the same without you, Y/N" Itadori said, snapping me out of my thought. I turn my head to look at him in confusion. I tilt my head slightly.

"What do you mean?" I asked. He gestures towards Toge. I turn my head to look at him and take the time to observe him, as he stares intently at me. I notice dark circles under his eyes, he also seem a little thinner. In short, Toge looks unwell.

"Toge..." I said, staring at him with a sad expression. He just lift his hands, cupping my cheeks. He pulls my face down, so he can lean his forehead against mine.

"I'll be fine as long as you're back. So come back to me, Y/N... please" he said, in a pleading tone. I just close my eyes, leaning into his touch as he caress my cheeks softly. There's no denying that I've missed him so much. I want more than anything to be with again.

"I... can't..." I said. His eyes widened as he stares at me with a hurt expression. "Why not?" He asked. I turn my head away from him. "You'll only get hurt around me, Toge. I'm not safe for you to be around with" I said. He stays silent after I said that. The others stands up, feeling as if the two of us needs some time alone. They slowly leave the room as I watch them walks away. 

"What is it that you don't understand, Y/N??! I don't care! About them... about my mom. About anyone! I only care about you! I want you to be by my side no matter what! So what if I get hurt... so what? It hurts more when you're not with me!" He said. He raise his voice each words to the point he's yelling at me. I just stare at him in shock, completely not expecting him to burst.

"Don't you get it?! You're my life, Y/N! I can't live without you. If you keep on being adamant on staying away from me. You might as well kill me! Because I don't see the point in being alive if it's without you" he said. His tears streaming down his cheeks. I can see the pain reflecting in his eyes.

"T-Toge..." I said. He grabs the razor on my table and slides out the blade. He grabs my hand and place it there, pointing the sharp edge on his chest. My eyes widened at his action.

"Toge! Stop it!" I said, trying to pull my hand. But he holds it in place. "Kill me... if you want to leave me. You have to kill me first!" He said. I shake my head at what he said.

"I can't do that... I love you, Toge" I said. He stares at me with tears in his eyes. "Then why can't you come back to me? If it's about me being in danger. I'm a Jujutsu sorcerer, Y/N. I'll be facing dangers ALL the time. But with you... I feel like I have strength. Like I have a reason to live" he said. I stare at him with my own tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Just come back to me, Y/N... I'm begging you" he pleaded. I just stay silent at what he said. "You only have two options... 1, come back to me" he said. His voice is low and serious.

"Or 2, you kill me and leave. Your choice, Y/N" he said, holding my hand firmly. The blade pointing at his chest. I bit my lips at what he said. I can't believe he's making me choose between staying with him or he'll die without me.

"Please..." he pleaded. I close my eyes, my hands getting weaker. I heave out a soft sigh. I lean my forehead against his. "I... I'm not going anywhere" I said. He drops his hand, making the razor blade fall on the ground. I use my feet to kick it away.

I turn my head to look at Toge, only to feel a pair of lips against mine. I close my eyes as I slowly kisses him back. I wrap my arms around his neck, tilting my head slightly to deepen the kiss. His tightens his arms around my waist.

We pull away for air. He just pulls me close, burying his face into the crook of my neck. "I love you, Y/N. Don't ever leave me" he said. I wrap my arms around his torso.

"I love you too... I won't go anywhere. I promise, and this time, I mean it..." I said. He just holds me close, not showing any sign of letting me go anytime soon.

I just close my eyes, letting myself sink in deeper in his embrace. No matter how hard I try to run away, I'm just not strong enough to be apart from him... not anymore.
