Chapter 8

My parents managed to arrange a wedding in less than a week. They hired people to bring in and decorate flowers around the castle for the ceremony. Special Tigmas came into the castle to create my dress and all the outfits needed for the ceremony. Bonnie worked with my parents on all the magical aspects of the ceremony while my uncle worked with my parents on the paperwork and official aspects of the ceremony. My birthday served as the day I turned 16 and the day I would be married. It is custom for the Tigma couple to stay in separate rooms the entire day before the ceremony. I became anxious by the time the day of the wedding came. My mom came in with her ladies and mine and they all helped me get into my dress.

My mother spoke up as they finished, "Give me a few minutes alone with my daughter."

"Yes your majesty," they bowed to her and left the room.

"How are you feeling?" she asked me. "Are you ready for this step?"

"I think so," I nodded, "I do love him."

She smiled, "I know you do. There are a few things you must know about these weddings."

"What is it?"

She handed me a piece of paper, "You must sign this. Sam has already signed it."

"What is it?" I asked again.

"It is the official certificate for your marriage. This will make it official. There is magic within it however because as Tigmas you must accept our human sides and our animal sides."

I quickly signed the certificate and gave it back to her. "What else should I know?"

"Your magic will most likely act up during the ceremony."

"We are going to float again aren't we?"

She nodded, "A bright light should show itself after the vows. The light means your marriage has been accepted and you will be allowed to kiss. The kiss will most likely cause you to float again."

"Okay, I can handle that."

"Your maturity impresses me. You have lived a sheltered life which could not have been avoided as much as I wish it could but you have grown to be more mature than people even twice your age. I have no doubt that you are going to accomplish great things in your life. No matter what decisions you make I want you to make sure it is the right decision for you, alright? Never think about what anybody else will think of your decisions. The only acceptance you need is between you and Sam."

I hugged her, "Thank you mother. I love you."

"I love you too. So does your father."

My father came into the room, "It is time. Topanga, you look beautiful."
