Chapter 2

I'm walking to class I feel my heart racing I feel like my heart is going to come out of my chest. First period first day new school. I arrive at my class, the door is open I can see the students talking, they all know eachother, I know nobody. I took the tinniest bit of confidence I had in me and walk with my head high, I feel my heart beat, faster, louder. Her. The teacher that bumbed in me this morning. She looks nice, it should make me feel better but it doesn't. I see an empty table in the back. Perfect. I put my books on the table as I look around. My teacher warmly smiles at me, I smile back.
-All right class, let's settle down we'll be starting in a few. She said. I look outside the door and I see a student running late he's quite tall, smiling with all his teeth. He looks nice and kind.
-I am truly sorry for being late Miss.Thornill especialy on the first day.
-It is alright Xavier you can take a seat uhm.. She said looking around for an empty place.
-There! She said pointing next to me. He said nothing and just smiled. He looks so happy to be here but he seems normal. Like me.
-Hello there. He said when he was sat.
-Hi. Uhm my name's Yn. What's yours? Sorry stupid question she just called you Xavier.
-Yeah you got a good sense of observation. He said chucking.
-Yeah my last name's Holmes.
-Oh I see detective.
-Sorry are we interupting something back there?
-A tiny bit but please go on Miss. Thornill. He was funny.

-So as I was saying this class is pretty much botanic we'll talk about different plants, flowers and more. Let's open our textbook page 13. Everyone do as she said. I look at my left to see Xavier drawing a small mouse I don't pay attention to it. On the page 13 we can see a variety of plant with a set of sharp teeth. That class seems interesting. Miss Thornill talk for about 30 minutes about carnivor plants, in which enviroment they live in, the type of insect they eat and more.
-All right, I talked about that now umm let's see what I had planned, yes umm make teams of 2 and discuss about carnivor plants and their behavior.
As I turned to talk to Xavier about how she talks about plants as they were human I see a small rat on the table.
-Hello there. I said while taking it with my hands.
-You like it?
-What?
-My drawing. I look at the piece of paper that he was drawing on earlier to see a white page.
-The mouse I draw it and bring it to life.
-No way you did that?
-Don't fall for it sweetie he did that to all the girls at this school. She said looking at me through her glasses.
-It must of work then I am hard to impress. She smiled and walked away.
-Anyways which class are you going to next?
-Um archery I think. Yep that's it.
-Well I'll see you at lunch. As a stand up the bell rang.
-Yn can you stay for a sec?
-Yes what is it.
-I just wanted to make sure everything was alright since your new.
-Yeah everything is weirdly fine.
-Perfect then have a good one.
-You too. I walked out of class we have 20 minute break before our next class. I went to my dorms to spend time alone. I didn't even close the door pincipal Weems was there she just appear out of no where or I didn't see her.
-I just wanted to catch you to tell you that after each day I want you to come to my office. Since you're new I want to make sure you're okay. Alright?
-Um yeah that's no problem for how long do we have to meet like this?
-Well every time a new student arrive at school I want to make sure they are adjusting alright. Some of them stop coming see me after a week or 2 but my door is always open.
-Okay thank you.
-You are more than welcome my dear. My dear? Does she call every student like that. Anyways I sat on my bed and picked up my book I started this morning. I have been reading for a while now I look at my phone the class had already started I was 24 minutes late. Fuck my first day. I rushed down stair to go outside.
-I am so sorry I didn't see the time I was reading and I was sure there was a bell-
-There's no bell for annoucing the start of a new period. Are you Yn the new student?
-Yes. I said feeling stupid.
-I won't give you detention for this time but I have to inform principal Weems.
-Oh okay what did I missed?
-Not much I was just explaing the basics you can sit there. I just nodded. Once he was done talking I picked up an arrow and a bow. I was so bad I couldn't even touch the target. I guess it takes pratice.
-Hii, my name is Enid are you knew? I never saw you and I don't forget faces. A small pink hair said to me.
-Yeah I'm new my name's Yn.
-Oh I love that name, Ajax come here. A boy came by her side. This is Ajax he's my boyfriend. She turned her head to her boyfriend. Ajax honey this is Yn.
-Nice to meet you I am Enid's boy also known as Ajax. Enid looked at him smiling.
-Hi.
-Ok Ajax see you later. Bye. Do you mind after class if I give you a tour?
-Not at all. I would love that.
-Okay see you after class! She left I continue praticing I'm so bad it's not even funny. After about 15 minutes the bell rang. I went up to Enid.
-All right I'm ready for the tour.
-Ok so right now we are where everybody come to eat and talk during breaks. That gang over there are the vampires AKA fangs. Those right there mermaid AKA scales and them they are werewolf like me also known as the fur.
-You are a werewolf?
-Yep.
-You don't look like one.
-I know you're new but don't ever say that again it's really mean.
-I'm sorry I didn't know.
-It's okay. Next there is the dinning hall where you eat left wing is girl dorm right's boys and classes are all over there. That's it it looks big but in reality it's a really simple school.
-Thank you Enid you saved my life.
-That is my pleasure.
-What do you have next period? I have french.
-Moi aussi.
-Well guess I will see you there. See you later.
-Bye. I had my dose of people for now I'm going straight in my room. I close the door without interuption this time and checked my agenda I had one last period French I mean that's alright. Time passed and I didn't want to be late again so I went to my class.
-Bonjour mademoiselle. Said my teacher she was an old woman she looked like a grandmother.
-Bonjour madame. I reply. I took place next to Enid.
-Hey.
-So what did you do?
-Nothing Ajax and I went walking in the forest.
-Only walking?
-No. What did you do?
-Me my room calm.
-Sounds boring.
-Not at all. The class started and we worked on verbs. The bell rang my first day was done I was still alive and I knew 3 people that weren't teachers. But I had to go to her office so I went I had nothing to do anyways. I walked to her door and knock.
-Come in. Miss Ln please take a seat. How was your day.
-Good I had botani-
-Yes I heard you made a friend?
-Well we are not friends yet but we know each other.
-Next then I had archery and then Enid gave me a tour. After we had french together.
-That's it? Nothing more?
-That's it.
-No miss Ln you were late at your second period. At Nevermore we do not tolerate lateness.
-But my teacher told me it was okay for this tim-
-He shouldn't have. Being on time is very important it's worst than skipping class. If you have class be there at time or don't come at all.
-If I knew I would've stayed in my room. I mumbled.
-I am sorry?
-Nothing.
-Repeat yourself.
-I said if I knew I would've stay in my room.
-That's it an hour of detention.
-I'm sorry what no it's my first day you can't -
-Yes I can. She said while standing up. She was tall I was small she was my principle I was a student I can't do anything.
-I am sorry it won't happen again.
-After this detention I am sure it will.
-What am I supposed to do now?
-You will write: I won't be late ever again nor be diserespectfull to my principal.
-I wasn't even rude to you?
-Are we questioning my autority?
-No how many time to I have to write that?
-Til your hour is done and I want a perfect handwritting and no mistakes. You must be writting at all time. I didn't even wanted to reply at the begining she was so sweet and calm and here I am doing that. I was sure she was kind she is just bossy and bitch she probably have a boring life. I looked at her hand no ring that make sense.
-What are you looking at?
-Nothing sorry. Yeah she had no control over her love life so she had to have control over her students was a weird principal. Or maybe she was stressed since it was the begining of the year and she wanted everything to go well. Minutes passed and my hour was done I think I wrote that stupid phrase over 200 times.
-There I am done. My hand was hurting so bad. She looked at me ripping the 4 pages.
-Thank you you must go now.
-What I did all that for nothing?
-Yes. You may go now. I turned around to go to my room but I heard her calling my first name softly.
-Yn.
-Yes. I was sure she was going to say something like I am sorry this year is really stressing me out or something but she said.
-Make sure to be at time tomorow. I was so furious. I didn't even respond. I went to the library to grab another book incase I finish mine today.
-Well well well I did not expect to see you here you know most student come here to make out. My botanic teacher said.
-Yeah I am more the reading type you know.
-Yes I do know. Good night Yn.
-Good night miss Thornill. She left me alone I picked a random book with a pretty cover and went back in my dorm. I was so tired I took a shower dried my hair and went straight to bed but I forgot to put my alarm so I got up and set it I was off to sleep. When I heard a stupid knock on my door. I got up it was her Mrs. Weems in a red silk dress. What did she wanted and why was she dressed like that?
-I just wanted to tell you goodnight and tell you that I was sorry for earlier I tend to be more strict on new students to make sure they won't do anything stupid but I think I went too hard on you. Yn you seem like a good kid.
I don't know what happened but I went to hug her I felt so emotional but I didn't wanted to cry infront of her. I looked up to see her and she just give me a kiss on my forehead.
-Sleep well Yn.
I woke up. What the fuck was that.?!
