Chapter 15

It's been three weeks we have not spoke to each other about all what happened and us. Three weeks that I can't sleep because it bothers me so much. I was starting to lose my feelings for her it could never come back like it was. We were on good terms we were mature she was still lifting me at my job every sunday. Our little talk at night became a 5 minute monologue. She was always saying the same things and then I would go back to my room. I was in the bathroom getting ready for work when she knocked on my door. I opened it.
-Come in, I'm almost ready. She came in my room and was standing awkwardly in silent. I got out the bathroom with my pajamas in my hand.
-You still wear that necklace?
-Yeah. I said looking down. I liked it, it was a nice necklace nothing more but deeply it reminds me of her.
-Umh you are ready? I noded. We got out and walked over to her car. We got in and she started her car. We were driving when her phone rang.
-Who is it? She said focusing on the road. I looked at her phone and my heart dropped when I saw who was calling.
-So who is it?
-The um mayor. I saw her rolling her eyes.
-Can you text him for me? Was she serious? She wanted me to text the guy that she cheated on me with.
-Oh never mind. She said seeing my face.
-No it's fine what do you want me to text him.
-Text meet me at the cafe. And add for business only and add a dot.
-Done.
-Thank you I didn't know he would have text.
-Oh it's okay plus I don't really care anymore I moved on. I saw the look on her face. She was disapointed by me saying that.
-That fast?
-What that fast? I asked confused.
-You moved on that fast? Like it was nothing?
-Miss Weems we already talked about that. And it's not like I was the one who messed it up. Now I don't want to fight.
-We are not fighting, just talking. I rolled my eyes.
-If you say so.
-And just for your information I'm not talking to him anymore, and when I'm meeting him I make sure we are not alone.

-Thank you. I said getting up and walking towards my work place.

-Good we have quite a rush tho so punch now.
-Alright. I came back and started taking orders. The mayor came in with Larissa.
-Hi what can I get for the two of you?
-Black coffee and what you want. He said turning to her.
-I'm not thirsty. She said coldly.
-Alright there's your coffee. I said.
-I'll get a table Miss Weems. She didn't bother to answer.
-You're still standing here.
-That is no way to speak to customers.
-I know just the annoying one. I said smiling, she smiled back getting my joke.
-I'll have a latte.
-I thought you weren't thirsty?
-Changed my mind. I did her latte and gave it to her. Our hands touched for a small moment we had an eyes contact. I was cleaning a machine when I saw the mayor grabbed her hands. She pulled her hand back and took a sip. What was she doing? I quickly looked away when I saw her head turning to my direction.
-Sorry can I get a refil?
-Yes. I took her cup and went to refil it. I was looking at Larissa she seemed so bored. I didn't notice the cup overflowing I burned my hand.
-Oww oh shit.
-Omg Yn are you okay!
-No I burned my hand, finish her refill and I'll go get myself some ice. I saw Larissa looking at me concerned not listening a word he was saying. She came over.
-Are you okay? Let me see. Oh that doesn't look so bad.

-Yeah that's a sure thing. She said looking at me.

-Nothing I'm concerned for you and you know it. I looked away.
-There that's better d-, I'll see you later. She said warmly. She was about to call me darling or am I dreaming?
-Hey Yn when you hurt yourslef you can leave and still be paid if I was you I would get the fuck out.

-What are you trying to prove. I said when we were outside.

-No I am able to open it by myself. I said struggling to open the door with my burnt hand. She opened the door. I rolled my eyes at her.
-There. She was smiling. Her beautiful smile oh she was pretty. She cheated, she betrayed me I wanted to forgive and forget but I couldn't that easily. She was so tempting but I was not a weekend slut.
-Are you okay?
-Um yeah. I said getting in the car. She got in the car.
-So any plans for the rest of the day?
-No not really you?
-Do you want to spend it with me?
-Miss Weems if you even try something I'll break your hand.

-Alright but nothing weird just us like you know maximum friends nothing more. She looked upset.
-Yn I just want to talk to you. I miss our conversation everynight.
-I miss it too.

-Larissa stop it. We are still in the car and look at you.
-I'm sorry I just want you to know, I do anything for you and if I could take everything back I would. It's been 3 weeks Yn I look at you and I hate myself for the pain I caused you.

-When you want to talk about it come see me at whatever time day and anywhere.
-I will. I am not sure I will tho.

-Larissa.. you had no rights to do that do me I would have never. I thought our kiss meant something to you.
-Listen Yn I had you but I wanted more now I don't you're the only thing I want and I sadly realized it by losing you. If there's something I could do I would do it.
-I'm just tired of this can we just get to school already why is this taking so long?
-I don't know. Seems like there was an accident.
-Omg. I said looking out there was a car that crashed into a tree. I kept looking I saw a man dead with his neck snapped.
-Stop the car. I was going to be sick.

-Stop the fucking car! She stopped and I got out and threw up all over the road.
-Yn are you okay?

-Ok let's calm down.

-I know. Get in the car. I was not able to talk back I just got in the car.
-How are you so calm? I said worh a shaky voice.
-Well I'm the princess at Nevermore and went there it's not the first time I see such things. But it'll be alright now breath please. She said putting a hand on my thigh and quickly removed it when she realized what she was doing.
-Let's get to school. With that we arrived at school.
-Yn we should get your hand checked come with me. She said bringing me to the infirmary. She cleaned my hand and putted weird cream and a bandage on it.
-It'll be itchy but do not scratch it.
-Ok.
-What was you looking at anyways to make such a mess.
-I was just daydreaming I guess. Lie, I was looking at her.
-Do you want to come to my office?
-Yeah. I said warmly smiling. We went upstairs to her office.
-Take a seat and make yourself confortable. I'll be back. She came by with two cups of tea.
-Yn you didn't even remove your coat.
-Oh yeah sorry.
-Here let me help you. She did a fast move and I flinched.
-I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. She slapped me 3 weeks ago. Right across the face. Since I have better reflex. I did not say a word to her. We removed my coat and I removed my shoes. I just had a shirt on and I was now cold.
-Here take this. She said giving me a sweater.
-Thanks. I responded.
-Now we haven't talk in a long time tell me everything.
-Nothing happened in 3 weeks.

-Yeah.
-Well, nothing happened to me aswell. Days without you were quite boring and lonely. I looked at her.
-Larissa you hurted me.

-Now I wanted to ask you about Dr. Kinbott.
-What about her?
-Do you want another appointment?
-Yeah I really need one.

-Larissa I know you are sorry but you have done everything you could it's up to me. I think I am someone whose sensitive and I am not stupid enough to place myself in a situation that already hurted me. It's like placing a flower outside in the winter and wondering why it is falling apart.
-I'll bring the flower inside and take really good care of it. Yn this isn't about flowers it's about you. I hate myself for what I put you through but I hate myself even more that I am the one who hurted you. I wanted to protect you and I failed.
-You didn't fail. You did great you just messed up.
-Same thing I want us to be the way we used to be but at the same I'll be ready to never talk to you again so I won't ever hurt you in any way.
-That would be stupid.

-Larissa it's not about us it's about you. Should I give you a chance?

-Then become that someone. I stand up.
-Now if you would excuse me I'll go sleep because I'm exhausted.
-Yeah I understand, let me walk you to your room. We got out of her office and went across the hall to my room. She opened the door for me.
-Is your hand feeling better?
-Not really it's painful. I said entering in my room. She followed me.
-Wait here. I said pointing my bed. I went to my bathroom and changed into something more comfortable.
-I know it will sound weird but. I sighed. Can you tuck me in? With my hand it will be impossible.
-Yes of course I will. She said looking at me with a warm smile.
-There good night d- Yn.
-I don't think I'll be able to sleep.
-Why is that? She said sitting on my bed.
-I- the man I saw I keep seeing him.
-Try to sleep, if there is anything like a nightmare or I don't know what come see me ok. I'll be happy to help you.
-Thanks. Her lips. Her eyes. Now. But I couldn't move.
-Good night. She stand up. I wanted her to kiss me but at the same I would have been mad at her. Things were better than they were before but still she had sex with that man. I feel asleep fast and easily.
