Chapter 5

Today was my first day working at the cafe. I wasn't stress just excited I dressed in black. You can't go wrong with black. I putted my hair in a high ponytail. I look at myself in the bathroom. At least I had a lift from Miss Weems, I didn't need to walk to my job it would take hours. I finished getting ready and headed to her office. She was already outside of the door waiting for me.
-You look good for your first day. She said looking carefully at me. I was was wearing leggins and a black shirt.
-Thanks I just grabed black clothes.
-That's good. Alright let's go. Are you feeling stressed?
-No not really. I said as we were walking to her car. She held me the door as I got in the car then she closed it. She got to the other side and got in too.
-So at what time do I have to pick you up?
-2 pm I'm only working 4 hours today.
-Oh that's good for a first shift.
-Yeah it's not that bad. We drove for about 15 minutes. I was looking at her. Or more like staring.
-Why are you looking at me?
-What shade of lipstick do you use it's so-.
-Red? She smiled.
-Yeah I like it.
-It's callled sexy lips by dior. I laughed.
-What don't you think the name suits?
-Depends on who's wearing it. I would've name that shade evening red.
-And why's that?
-Because sexy lips sounds weird and too wild.
-That's true but the question is are my lips sexy with this lipstick? If no then the name is wrong. I smiled.
-It was a question.
-What was?
-Does my lips look sexy? She asked.
-Well um I don't know. I said.
-Don't be embarrassed I was only joking today's a big day. I don't want you to be stressed. Well that really help I guess, I thought to myself.
-There we are. I'll be here at 2 o'clock.
-Ok thanks see you later. I closed the door. Now I was stressed the more I was getting closer the more my hands were sweaty. I got in.
-Oh hi Yn I'm happy to see you come with me you can put your bag in a locker. Here is where we punch. And that's where we work. First of all we got the expresso machine here, where we make cappucino, lattee and machiato and so many more. Tell me if I'm going to fast.
-No it's alright.
-Good now the tea spot for chai lattee and other tea. And here are the two normal coffee that we have. Dark roast and normal. Clients can put splenda, sugar, cream or milk sometimes honey but it's rare. Someone entered the cafe.
-Good your first customer go over there. He pushed me.
-Hi what can I get for you?
-Medium dark roast 2-2 please.
-Perfect it'll be ready in a few. 2.30$ please. She handed me the money and then I started doing her coffee.
-A 2-2 means-
-Two cream and two sugar.
-Yep that's it, you're very good. I finished the coffee and gave it to the customer. Hours passed and then a girl about my age walked in. I've seen her somewhere I knew it. I had a feeling.
-Hi.
-Um sorry do we know each other?
-I'm afraid we don't. Her walk, her smell and her posture. Who is she. I know that we know each other.
-You're just so familiar.
-Well my name's Victoria.
-Mine's Yn.
-Ok then I'll just take a cappucino, Yn. Even the way she said my name I knew her but who was she?
-Good which size?
-Medium's fine.
-Alright 3.89$ please.
-There you go she handed me a 10$ bill.
-Keep the change.
-Thanks and there you go have a great day. She left.
-Hey Tyler.

-Have you ever see her around?
-Nope first time. That's weird I thought to myself.
-Hey Yn it's 2 o'clock you are now free.
-Oh the time passed so quickly.
-Yeah the more you'll work the longer it'll be longer tho.
-Oh see you next sunday. I left and saw her car in the parking I got in.
-Tell me everything. She looked proud of herself.

-Yn what are you talking about.
-You came to spy on me.

-Yes I did bu-
-Never do that again why would you even do that?
-I wanted to make sure you were alright. I was worried about you.
-Ok well I was alright so no need to be worried for me ever again. During the ride I didn't speak to her I was pissed I hate when people spy on me it's weird. We arrived at school and I just got out and said thank you.
-Yn wait.
-No thanks for the ride but I have things to do now.
-Oh really what.
-Homework.
-Liar come back here we'll go in my office have a discussion.
-Oh I'm the liar? You came to spy on me. I got closer to her and lower my voice.
-You shape shift to spy on me and I'm the liar?
-Yn let's just go in my office.
-No I do not want to.
-Fine then good evening.
-You too. I said with an arrogant tone. How dare is she to spy on me like that? Which kind of principal does that? I'll go to her office. I knocked.
-You changed your mind. I got in and sat down.
-Listen what is your problem. At first you were mean, now you apoligize and acts way too friendly with me.
-I do not.
-Miss Weems you shapeshift yourself to come at my job to check on me, who does that?
-You just seemed stress.
-Ok well that's not a reason.
-You do not now go to your room.
-And what will you do if I don't.
-I admit spying on you was a mistake I won't ever do it again. But now you are going to far now go to your room. She said loudly. I didn't move.
-God Yn why are you making everything always harder. You makes people's life harder always trying to be right. Does it every happen that you stop thinking about yourself? Her words hitted me hard. I just didn't want to go I wanted to stay with her. I got up and left. I turned my head around and said.
-I'm sorry. She didn't even responded everything was going so well. I wanted to talk to her apoligize and told her that I was just confused why she was always so caring but I didn't want to annoy her anymore. I went to my dorm and texted Enid to come over. I waited for about 5 minutes and she came in.
-Yn what happened are you okay?

Principal Weems P.O.V.

I didn't even mean it she's such a sweet girl I just felt like I did too much and it was obvious that I cared for her. I didn't want her to know that she was my favorite student. I know her she would've been shy and be more distant. I just wanted to prove that I didn't care but it's not the case. She is messing with my head and doesn't even realize it. I decide to go to her dorm and heard her and Enid talking.
-So what does that person tell you?
-It's not just a normal person. She someone that I respect so much she is so perfect in every way and I confronted her about something and she got so defensive or mad I don't know she told me that I made her life harder. Then when I thought she was done she told me does it ever happen that you stop thinking about you. When I care for her more than I do for my own self you see when she's talking I listen to her and I care about her I ask a lot of question about her. I don't know..
-This person is mean and you shouldn't be around her.
-It's not that simple.
-What you like her?!
-What no.
-I think you do. Otherwise you wouldn't care about what someone said to you. But that actually had in impact on you. Look at you, you look miserable.
-Thanks a lot. What was all that? I walked away from the door and got back in my office.

Back to Yn P.O.V.

-But tell me who is she?
-I can't tell Enid. Really I would like but I can't.
-It's okay how was the job anyways?
-Very good. What did you do today?
-I was with Ajax the whole day.
-Cute. Later we finished talking and she left me. I was confused. She was right why would I care about what she thinks of me. I didn't care. The whole night I kept thinking about my principal and why did I let her have such an impact on my life. I thought about yesterday and how close we were it was nice. Thoughts after thoughts I couldn't sleep it was 1 am already. I got up and left my room as I closed the door without making a sound. She was tanding across the hall. She came closer and spoke with a soft voice.
-What are you doing up at this time?
-I can't sleep so I thought I would go for a walk in the woods.
-You can't go out there alone not at this time.
-Why that would be too selfish? I only every think about myself anyways so what does it matter if I'm alone in the woods?
-Yn don't say that.
-I didn't, you did it was your words. Now excuse I'll go walk.
-I'll come with you I can't sleep either.
-No need to I would enjoy sometime alone. I looked at her as she grabbed her coat. I rolled my eyes she was coming and I couldn't say a thing over it. We started walking and got to the forest. I started walking in silence and thinking when I decided to sit on a rock and look at the sky. She sat down next to me.
-What are you looking at?
-The sky. Did you notice when it's a full moon we can't see the starts because the moon project to much light in the sky.
-No I never thought about that. I'm not really into astronomy.
-Why? I replied.
-I don't know, you could teach me tho. She said looking at me. I layed on my back. It was getting colder.
-Your lips are turning blue.
-I'm fine.
-No you're not, here take my coat. She said as she putted around me. It was so big. I rested my head on her shoulder.
-Yn.
-Um?
-I did not mean what I said earlier. I didn't answer.
-I know it's too late and I already said it but I really did not mean it.
-Then why did you say it. I said raising my head and looking in her deep blue eyes.
-I care about you Yn more than I'm supposed to. I really want to make sure you were doing all right. And I got mad at you because I felt like you didn't care about me caring for you. Does that make sense?
-You're right it was strange no one ever cared that much for me. I looked away.
-Well I'm happy that we got to talk about that but now it's time for you to sleep you have class tomorrow.
-Forgot about that.
-Come on. She gave me her hand to help me got down the rock. I slipped and landed on her. Luckly we didn't fall and she caught me.
-Oh I know someone who's tired. I smiled.
-Yeah me too.
-Why weren't you able to sleep?
-I was thinking.
-About? She said while we were walking.
-About you and what you told me. I wanted to see you but you told me to go away earlier so I just stayed in my room.
-You should've come.
-I'll be there tomorrow. I enjoy talking with you it's easy, you always know what to say. We finally arrived at my room I gave her coat back.
-Good night my dear.
-Good night Miss Weems. I got in my dorm and close the door. I was happy that she told me she didn't mean it. But still somehow things were weird like if she was hidding something from me. With that I fell asleep.
