chapter one

"I'm going out now" you said as you tied the last shoe laces of your shoe, standing up and reaching for the door knob.

"Y/n!"

You turned your head to see your mother, wiping her hands off her apron as she stared at you worriedly. "Are you sure you're okay?" She said and went towards you "Is there anything i can do for you?" She asked and caressed your cheek gently. You held her hands in yours and looked her in the eyes with a smile "I'm fine mom, no need to worry"

"N/n..."

You looked back at the hallways towards the kitchen, seeing two tiny heads peeking out the wall. You chuckled and knelt down, speading your arms wide to invite them in a hug. "Come here"

The both of them ran towards you, embracing you in a tight and warm hug. You closed your eyes and hugged them back

"N/n, will you be okay?"

"Will N/n be fine in school?"

They had this eyes that looked so worried and sad, and it broke your heart to see them that way. You ruffled their heads and smiled. "Yes, N/n is going to be fine" you said and stood up "Just trust in N/n okay? Haru, Miru. I'll be fine so don't worry" you said and gave them one last pat before going to your mom. "I'll be going now" you said and hugged her as well.

"Be careful" she said and waved. You stood beside the door ready to open it and go. "Mn, i'll try my best" you smiled and went out.

The early morning breeze immediately greeted you once you stepped outside.

It could have been beautiful. You were doing your best to have a peaceful life, and yet things went out the other way. You studied well, did your best in everything. Yet it still isn't enough?

You sighed, feeling gloomy once again. "What a day..." you said and rumaged through your bag, finding your camera and stopping for awhile to take a picture. You angled it downwards, it took an electric post and a few houses with it, the sky illuminated beautiful colors of pink and blue. You squinted your eyes and clicked.

"Oh?"

"Ah"

Tsukkishima Kei

Who knew you would both bump into eachother again?

You stood up properly and looked him in the eyes. "Sorry, i wasn't looking for anyone" you said and bowed, both as a greeting and an apology.

He turned away and started to walk, pausing for awhile before looking back a  little. "It's fine. I don't really care anyway"

You blinked, watching him go on without a care in the world. He put his headphones on and continued walking - leaving you behind.

You stared at his back and sighed, you knew he was not the kind of guy to have a conversation with someone, much more a stranger.

Meow

You turned your head to the right, spotting a cat with black fur, his eyes shined under the ray of the sun with a golden hue. You knelt down from where you stood and held a hand, enviting the cat to come over.

The cat slowly went to you and hesitantly licked your hand. You smiled when it finally became comfortable and started to stroke it's head on your hand - purring.

"You're cute" you said and picked him up from the ground. You ran and caught up to the blonde guy and started to walk slowly.

The air was quiet, and like yesterday, it was eerie. It was like two strangers going on about their days, not knowing eachother, which is really the case for this one. Your sweat dropped. Seems like he really is a silent guy.

A few minutes of silence and you finally arrived at karasuno, Tsukkishima going on ahead while you set down the cat that was still in your arms. You stroked it's head and smiled "I'm sorry for bringing you all the way here, i'll be back later so don't worry"

You said and stood up, trying to once again catch up to the tall blonde. You both were walking at the same pace, a slow and steady pace. The quiet air was still there, yet there was something relaxing about this whole walking together scene. It was familiar, and yet at the same time so distant.

Have you met this man before here in karasuno?

You shook the thought off and just focused on where you were going. And when you faced forward again, you were walking alone. You turned your head from right to left to see where that man has gone, and there you saw him, walking away in a deadpanned manner towards the school's gym.

You stood there in disbelief, he had left your side and yet you didn't even notice him moving away? Were you that deep in thought?

You shook your head and just decided to come inside the school. Since it was very early, not alot of students were present, only a few were at the hallways. Either chatting with friends or taking their time until the bell rang.

A few minutes of walking and you reached your class. There were only a few present there as well. You went ahead and sat on your seat at the far back next to the window. The sun was starting to go up a bit higher since the last time you had taken notice.

You leaned in on your palm as you stared outside the window. There was a slight moment where you wondered how amazing it was to see how things work out in nature. How birds would fly with their wings, how the sun would rise up the horizon so beautifully, and how humans can think of their own. It was facinating.

As you thought of all this, you remembered that picture you had accidentally took of Tsukkishima.

You rumaged through your things and found your camera. Your fingers hovered over the delete button, thinking that it was impolite to take a picture of someone when you hadn't gotten their consent, much worse, he would probably be uncomfortable with his picture in the camera you have.

You looked over the picture, it was a nice shot to be called an 'accidental' shot. His head turned away from the camera, but the surtoundings of the picture was perfect, though it was a little blurry, it was still a nice picture to be deleted.

You sighed, knowing that you will probably regret it later, you decided to not delete the picture, and to let it stay there until you grew tired of it.
