Daenerys stayed in the Seven Kingdoms for a year. Everything was back to normal and the people of the Seven Kingdoms loved her as their Queen. The dragons were a different story. She looked at the red gem everyday. It still pointed in the same direction. Daenerys knew it was time to leave. She let Sansa be brought to her. The Queen came towards Daenerys.
"We have to leave soon. The gem is glowing brighter. Can you help getting ready?" she asked.
"Of course I will. When do you want to leave?" Sansa asked.
"As soon as possible," Daenerys answered. Sansa nodded, bowed, and walked out. Daenerys was scared that the gem would lead her back to Thranduil. She was far away in her thoughts. She didn't even hear Arya coming in.
"My Queen," she said. Daenerys turned around and looked at Arya, who was lightly smiling.
"How can I help you?" Daenerys asked. Arya sat down on one knee.
"I offered you my service. Am I allowed to come with you?" she asked. Daenerys smiled.
"Of course you are," she said. Arya got up, bowed, and left to get ready. Jon Snow would come, just like parts of her army and some of the Dothraki. Only the full dragon army would stay in Westeros. Two days later, Daenerys got back on the ship. They had fully black sails to surprise Thranduil if they would end up in Mirkwood or to quickly pass it without being noticed. Daenerys took the red gem out and gave instructions about which way they had to go. Daenerys looked at the horizon. Her hair was swaying in the wind. After she found what she was looking for, she would return to Thranduil if possible. The wood they needed was equally spread over the ships. Daenerys couldn't wait to be able to snuggle into Thranduils arms. Arya came to stand next to her and saw the little smile.
"Your grace, may I ask why you are smiling?" she asked. Daenerys turned towards her.
"I was thinking about someone who's important to me," she answered. Arya smirked and turned towards her.
"Are you in love?" she asked. Daenerys nodded and looked at the horizon again.
"I have loved him for so long. We've been apart for ten years before we found eachother again," she said and thought about the ball where she had met him as King Thranduil.
"And he waited for all those years?" Arya asked.
"Kind off. He was forced into a marriage, but he told me he thought of me everyday, thinking how I would age," Daenerys answered. Arya looked at her in confusion.
"Why would he care? Everyone ages," she said. Daenerys smiled.
"That's not true. He's an elf and chose to be immortal," she said.
"What's his name?"
"Thranduil of Mirkwood, King of the Woodland Realm," Daenerys said.
"Well, you go for the important men," Arya said teasingly. Daenerys smiled.
"I loved him before I knew he was a King. I was surprised when I found out," she said.
"I hope he deserves you better than my brother," Arya said with a smile. Daenerys smiled at her.
"He was the only one that ever deserved me. None of the men who ever loved me made me feel how he did after I first saw him," Daenerys said. Arya nodded.
"So it was love at first sight?" she asked. Daenerys stared at the horizon.
"It was. At least from my side. I'm not sure when he started loving me," she said.
"I think at the moment he saw you. You have a magical kind of beauty. Even an elf would fall for you," Arya said. Daenerys chuckled.
"You don't know that the elves possess a magical beauty which no one can resist. Just wait until you see one. Every other kind of beauty will be ugly to you," she said.
"We will see whether I think you are not beautiful," Sansa said as she took place on Daenerys' other side. Daenerys and Arya looked at her and saw her smile.
"I think you will see why I love the Elven King. All elves are fair, but he is the fairest of them all," Daenerys said.
"What makes him so beautiful?" Jon asked, who came to stand next to Arya. Daenerys closed her eyes and saw Thranduil.
"His eyes are an ice cold grey, but when he looks at me, they become warm. He is far taller than me. His hair is white, around waist length and always hangs loosely on his back. His smile is like spring. Warm and lovely. His fashion taste is the best ever. He is always wearing thick cloaks that fit to his outfit. And I didn't even say anything about his jewels. They are everything you could wish for. He's everything I could wish for," she answered and opened her eyes again. Sansa smiled.
"I can't wait to meet him, but we should get back to work," she said. Daenerys softly nodded. Arya, Jon, and Sansa bowed to her and left her alone. Daenerys looked over the sea. Her dragons flew over and Daenerys smiled at them. She looked at the two ships next to hers and saw Greyworm on one of them and Geralt on the other one. She smiled. She was happy she had them again but having the Starks on her side was very special to her. She wondered if Jon Snow would get her if he saw Thranduil. She looked at the four dragons again. Balerion was the only one that wasn't playing with the other ones. Especially Viserion was trying to get his attention. The smile faded from Daenerys' lips. She missed Viserys.
'Would he be proud if he saw me like this?' she thought. Even though he sold her into marriage, he was the reason she met Thranduil. If she wouldn't have been in danger, Thranduil wouldn't have had the chance to safe her and Daenerys would still have to be on Khal Drogo's side. Things he had done to her were horrible but at least she found the love of her life. She had to be thankful to have had Viserys by her side and she would always be.
