Almost Three Months Later, Jay's POV:
"Be for real though... sugar in grits bro?" I asked the room as the guys started putting in their two cents.
"Hell yea! That shit good as hell." One of Lil Baby's homies said as the others agreed and I shook my head in utter disappointment.
"I mean you can't go wrong wit' it." Lil Baby said laughing as I shook my head once more.
We've been having a debate about food for the past 15 minutes. It's the last show and Chris is about to start his set in a few minutes.
Lil Baby is going back out in a few after Chris does his first half.
But, I just had to engage in this conversation cause some things just don't go on certain foods.
This tour has been an amazing adventure. I'm so glad that my husband allowed me to be apart of the journey. I've gotten cool with his entire crew and dancers. They are so fun to be around.
As you can see, I've also built a rapport with Lil Baby and his crew. He's down to earth and cool all the way around. Chris told me he was chill before he introduced us, and he definitely wasn't lying.
He mostly stays to himself and he's about his paper. At the same time, he knows how to turn up and have fun. He's come to majority of the after parties with us and we've all had a ball.
When we had the Atlanta show, I got a chance to meet Jayda and his sons. It's crazy to be apart of Chris' circle because everyone he calls family is my family now. Lil Baby is one of the coldest rappers out right now and I'm glad to be able to chill with him and his people. I never thought I'd be in this position.
But, screw allat' cause why these Atlanta niggas gotta put sugar in everything? I mean both of my grandmas are from down south... Mississippi to be exact and neither one of them put sugar in foods like that.
"Y'all niggas jus' sayin' that cause y'all from the south. Don't tell me y'all put sugar on y'all rice." I said as some agreed and Baby hid his face.
My mouth dropped open in disgust.
"Noooooo! Sugar does not go on rice!" I semi-yelled as they laughed at my reaction.
"Yes the fuck it does." One of his homies said playfully standing toe to toe with me.
"Bro! So you tellin' me right now, that if you got some fried pork chops and you eating rice wit' em.... You gone put sugar in the rice to go with it!?" I asked as some of them got quiet.
"If y'all gone be anything... be for real." I said as some of them had rebuttals.
"Naw! I ain't say allat." One said.
"It depend on what you eating with the rice." Another said.
"Ight look... if I got breakfast and I got eggs, bacon n' some other shit... Then, imma put sugar on my rice." A different friend explained as I held my hand up to stop the madness.
"Y'all are sick." I said taking my phone out of my pocket.
It's vibration caught me off guard.
As my eyes scanned the screen, I saw Chris' name pop up.
Husband💞💍: Wya? I need you asap
"Wait till she hear you put sugar in yo' greens." I heard Lil Baby tell one of his homies as my eyes cut in their direction.
"Nigga you better be joking." I said as one of them tried to justify their actions. But, I immediately cut them off cause ion' wanna hear that nonsense.
