Lucas glared at his father as they stood on the front porch of that woman's house. That stupid woman that he'll be staying with from now on. His mother had cried, no, had begged him to stay with her, but he just couldn't. Lucas' father controlled everything in his life. That's why he always rebels against him. To show his father that he's his own person, yet his father doesn't notice. His father doesn't see that he's not a little child anymore...
"Lucas," his father called, "I expect you to be on your best behavior. This is the first time you're are going to be staying at her house. I don't need you to blow it with your unreasonable personality."
"My personality is not unreasonable," Lucas hissed, "and if you think that thing will take care of me; I will make sure I'll have your head on a freaking stake."
"Lucas! Don't you dare threaten me. I can kick you out whenever I wish to. Remember that boy." Lucas scoffed and wasn't fazed by the threat. He would be glad that his father kicked him out. He would have a good reason to go back to his mother. He sighed and looked away from his father's gaze. It felt like the man was trying to burn holes through him and Lucas felt somewhat uncomfortable. The man he called 'father' glared at Lucas and opened the front door of his new home. There, awaiting for them was the woman Lucas despised and her son that was looking at his feet. In all honesty, the boy was short. Probably shorter than the average male or maybe it's because Lucas stands a 6'1 inches tall. Yeah, he's pretty tall for his age, but one would guess being seventeen and 6'1 is pretty normal some what.
The boy on the stairs looked about 5'5. He had light brown hair and black rimmed glasses. Lucas couldn't see his eyes too well because they were facing the ground. He seemed so...shy and standoffish. It was kind of...cute....in a way. Lucas scoffed quietly. The hell was he thinking? The guy was the child of that woman, if Lucas didn't want to speak to that woman; then he wouldn't want to get involved with her child. Though, he knew he couldn't hate the child. The teen was probably in the same spot as him.
"Charles, darling, it's great to see you again!" the woman shouted with joy and ran to him. She hugged him tightly and backed away to look them both over. When she stopped her eyes landed on Lucas and she suddenly smiled brightly. Slightly taken aback, Lucas smiled politely. The woman didn't say anything, but her eyes sparkled and somehow Lucas grew worried. "Y-You're so handsome!" she gushed.
Lucas took a wary step backwards, bumping into his father. His father smiled at him, though to him it read, "if you aren't going to be nice, I'll make you." Yeah, he took that smile into consideration. "Thank you," he said and smiled again. She gushed more.
"Oh! I love your voice! It's so husky! Very good!" Lucas' father cocked up an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. This woman was getting stranger and stranger by the minute. She stopped pestering him to look at her son and frown just a little.
"Alex dear, don't be shy. Come over and say hello." The light brown haired teen, Alex, looked up from the ground. His eyes made Lucas gasp quietly. His eye color was a stunning blue green that made him stand out even more. Sadly, the shy teen looked away again and shuffled over to his mother. His mother gave him a sad smile, "This is my son Alex. He's about your age Lucas. I think he's fifteen-"
"I'm sixteen," Alex mumbled, but his mother didn't hear. She just kept talking.
"He's very shy and quiet. So please," she looked at Lucas, "be nice to him and treat him well."
"Of course," his father answered for him, "Lucas may look this way, I doubt that he'll ever act out. He knows what would happen if he did..." Yeah, of course Lucas did. He'd probably get locked up in the closet for hours like when he was little. No wonder he was scared of tight spaces.
