Alex jumped when he heard a bang and then another. It was quiet after and he realized that Lucas had left. Alex's fingers traced his lip slowly, still feeling the tingly sensation the kiss had left. It was the same feeling he had felt when Junior touched him, but just a little more intense. He shouldn't have acted the way he did, but he was shocked. Any person would have reacted that way, right?
He needed to call someone. Tracy would freak out if he told her and Sam wasn't much help because he would understand. That only left. . . Junior. Alex could call him and he probably would, but he was nervous. Alex likes Junior a lot and telling his crush that he got kissed by someone else. He doubted Junior even liked him back. Which he probably didn't and that made Alex a little more depressed. He decided to call Junior and just get it over with. Whether he wanted to or not, Junior was by far the best choice. He grabbed his phone that was in his pocket and unlocked it to go to his contacts. Junior was the second contact on his phone. He pressed the call button and put his phone to his ear. On the second dial tone it picked up.
"Hello? Alex?" Junior's voice rang out on the other end.
"Yeah, hey. . . I just. . . I need some help."
"Is something wrong?"
"No. No not really. Lucas. . . he," Alex stopped for a moment. Would he really be telling Junior this?
"What about Lucas?" Junior snapped on the other end. Alex flinched a little when he heard his tone. Junior rarely ever snapped and when he did it was usually because he was really angry.
"It's. . . it's nothing," he sighed. He couldn't tell him, "I shouldn't even been thinking about it."
"Did he force himself on you?!" Was that what Lucas did? Had he forced himself on Alex?
"No, well, not really. He just ki-" Alex couldn't even finish that word. Kissed, was such a weird word. Sure, he had thought about kissing Junior, but that was about it. No one else came to mind, until now. This moment was something that probably changed how he looked at Lucas. If it was good or bad, he didn't know.
"Alex. . . What did he do?" Junior voice was cold and calculating on the other end.
"He kissed me." There was a growl on the other end.
"Where is he?"
"I don't know. He left five minutes ago. Why? You're not going to do anything right?"
"Let's find out. If I find him then he's dead. If I don't then he gets to live another day. It's a game." Oh no, this isn't what he wanted. Alex was trying to avoid fighting. He was only trying to talk to someone and sort out his mess of feelings. He made a mistake, but he didn't even know why Junior was acting like this. Was Alex some type of little brother that he needed to protect? His heart throbbed a little.
"Junior. . . it's not really a big deal. I just needed someone to talk to. I was confused."
"Do you like him?"
"I don't know, honestly. I've liked someone for a long time and now this happens. My emotions are all FUBAR at the moment. Please don't do something irrational."
"Who did you like before?" Alex drew in a breath. The question was surprisingly innocent, but there was a little hint of something there.
"That's not important right now," he said evading the question, "Just leave Lucas alone for today okay? He's probably just as confused as I am and you don't need to add onto that." Junior sighed a little heavily on the other end.
"You're right," he mumbled, "but, if he does anything else. You have to call me got it?" Alex smiled.
"Yeah. Bye Junior."
