Okay! Here's chapter eleven! I've been so busy with school and a project I was doing for my English class that I haven't been able to update. So sorry! Enjoy.
Lucas heard an even heart beat under the chest he was lying on. Even breathing lightly moved his hair with every breath the body underneath him took. Lucas smiled and tighten his hold around the slim waist. He breathed in the sweet scent of Alex and sighed blissfully. Lucas was happy, no more than happy. He was ecstatic!
Alex suddenly shifted a little beneath him and let out a sigh. He was still asleep. Lucas shifted his face up, his lips softly grazed Alex's jaw. His glasses were still on his face just a little above the bridge of his nose making him look like its a little . His light disheveled brown hair spread out and stuck up in a few places. He looked child-like sleeping that way.
Lucas' hand came up and started to trace the bridge of Alex's nose lightly, almost like a feather. He watched his nose scrunch up in a way making his whole face look adorable. Well, Alex was adorable in general. Lucas loved it when he smiled, when his eyes lit up if he was talking about something he loved. Those were some of the memories that he would cherish always, even if something happened and they never talked again. Lucas didn't want to think about that though. It was now that counts nothing else, not even the future is an obstacle. Suddenly, Lucas felt giddy. A future with Alex was something that he looked forward to. He grinned and hugged the body tighter. He definitely looked forward to it.
Lucas felt fingers run through his hair, making his body tense up a little, but instantly relaxed when he found out who it was. "Did I scare you?" the voice was quiet, soft with a hint of sleepiness. Alex was finally awake.
"No, you didn't. I'm just not used to being touched that's all," Lucas reply was short and curt, which made Alex laugh a little.
"Mm-hm, that's all right?" Lucas scoffed.
"I'm pretty sure you didn't scare me. Never been scared in a long time. I don't see why I would be scared now from a simple little touch," he was now on his elbows looking down at Alex, who was also looking up at him with his blue-green eyes.
"You know Lucas. . ." Alex whispered, "Not too long ago we weren't talking with each other. What happened to that?"
"You came for me, that's what you did. You were there when I needed someone the most." Lucas' face was now serious. He wasn't smiling or grinning like an idiot he had been a few minutes before. He started into Alex eyes and somehow got the feeling that he was getting lost in some type of other world he, somehow, couldn't be apart of, "You cared when I thought nobody else would. You. . . kissed me back when I'd kissed you. That counts for something doesn't it?"
"It does," Alex breathed, "but that something is conflicted with the feelings I had for Junior and the new profound feelings I have for you. And with you I feel like I was to treat you with care, like for something delicate that might break. If I did something to hurt you. . . It would be the last straw and then you would simply fall apart. I don't want that to happen."
"I'm not porcelain, Alexander. I won't break from a simple touch," he moved Alex's hand to cup the left side of his face, "See? No crack or break. To be honest, I love it when you touch me. It makes my skin burn like it's no fire and my heart to spike, to skip every once and a while. You make me feel alive and I don't know how to deal with that. I think the sad part of this would be that you can treat me however you want to because in the end. . . I'll still be there waiting for you."
"Even if I never come back?" Lucas smiled softly.
"Even if you never come back," he whispered and gave a little sigh.
"Well, you're being extremely honest today," Alex laughed a little and bumped his forehead on Lucas', their lips a few inches apart.
"I feel loved," came Lucas' simply reply and their lips came together in a sweet kiss. Shocks erupted through Lucas' body again and his heart beat faster. A faint blush climbed up to his cheeks and painted them a little rosy. It was amazing to him that this one person made him feel what a person he spent two years with couldn't; love. Celia had said that she loved him, but it never really felt like it, but he assumed it was partly his fault as well. He never could tell the poor girl that he loved her because he never did. He never felt anything like that towards her. How was he supposed to tell her something like this? Oh, crap he never told her about liking Alex! Lucas groaned and parted his lips from Alex's not realizing that they were still kissing.
"What?" the other boy asked slightly worried.
"I haven't told Celia yet. I'm going to get killed," he groaned again louder this time.
"Haven't told Celia what exactly?"
"That I like you, Alexander. That should be obvious by the way I'm acting towards you."
"R-Right. . ." Alex blushed, his cheeks warming up in the process. Lucas could feel them and he smiled again. He liked being with Alex this way. It was silent for a while, all that was heard was the boys even breathing and some bugs chirping in the distance. Lucas was in an awkward position for his long lean body. His legs were to the right of Alex's legs but his back was twisted to the front of him, so his upper chest was to Alex's. That's when Lucas decided to move his left leg on the other side of Alex's body, so he was straddling him. It was more comfortable than his original position.
"This is more comfortable. Don't question it, okay?"
"O-Okay," Alex stuttered causing Lucas to laugh a little.
"We should probably go home now. It's very late and I'm still tired. I don't want to sleep out here like this. Who knows how many crazy people are out there."
"You're right," Alex responded, " we should go, but I can't exactly get up at the moment. . ." Lucas laughed and got up off of the smaller boy. He stood up dusting invisible dirt of his jeans and held out his hand to Alex who was propped on his elbows.
"Come on, the sooner we get home the better." Alex nodded in agreement and grasped Lucas' hand which pulled him up on his feet. He too, dusted off his jeans and when he done Lucas started to walk back home. They talked and joked about randoms things that happened at school or when Lucas was still in London. It was exciting to learn and see new sides of Alex when they spoke. They didn't even notice they were being followed until Lucas heard some footsteps behind the, that weren't theirs. He stopped and turned around to be a couple inches apart from a group of guys looking no older than he did.
"What do you want?" Lucas growled and got in a protective stance in front of Alex. On of the guys, he was a little shorter than Lucas himself, gave hi, a sinister grin, but said nothing in response. "Alright then," Lucas chuckled while cracking his knuckles, "Let's have a little fun shall we?"
