Chapter 20 - The Date

*Jennie's POV*

Today is it. Our first date. God, I am so nervous. I have technically never been on a date. It's been already two weeks since the rooftop. My cheeks are getting red just by the thought of it. Why we hadn't been on a date this long, you ask? That's because we had our exams almost after it. And Lisa wanted me to focus on my studies. That idiot wouldn't even give me a kiss saying she wants to take me out on a date first. It was so frustrating especially when she does cute things. I just wanted to eat her up, but I had to try hard to keep myself in control. Also, I think she knows this and keeps teasing me.  Whatever it is, Today is finally our date.

Our school closed the day before Yesterday for term break and we have almost a month till it reopens. I plan to spend every day with my Lisa and Today is just the beginning. First, I need to figure out what to wear. I have been standing in front of the mirror for about an hour. Half the clothes in my closet are now on my bed. I used to have mostly grim reaper clothes in my apartment since I never had to care about my looks. But most of the dresses here are swoon-worthy, and still, I can't figure out what to wear.

After another half an hour of fidgeting over the dress, I decided to settle on a white mini-dress with yellow flowers. Lisa likes yellow so I hope she likes it too. I took a denim jacket to go with it paired with black heels. I put on light makeup and was applying lipstick with a voice that startled me.

"Who are you planning to kill, Ms. Kim?" That mischievous voice!

My lipstick smudged a bit around the corner of my lips so I glared at Lisa who had a cocky smile on her face.

"You scared me, Manoban." I said and that's when I noticed her. She was wearing a yellow T-shirt matched with blue jeans and a jacket and... she changed her hairstyle. I have only seen in her a single braid, but now her hair is down and it's obvious that her hair is trimmed in wolf cut and I must say it looks super hot on her.

"Sorry! Your Mom let me in." She said as she came closer to me.

"Your hair is different Today."

"Did you like it?" I nodded as she leaned in and took a tissue to wipe my lips. She held my chin up with one of her hands and started wiping the corner of my lips. I could only stare at her. "You look beautiful, Jen." She whispered dangerously close to my lips in a raspy voice.

Fuck! If it wasn't my parent's home, I would have asked her to pin me to bed and have her rip this dress off me.

Dammit, Lisa.

I need to get myself together.

"You don- you don't look bad yourself." I somehow managed to say it, but I am completely sure I look like a tomato. She smiled and she's annoyingly cute.

"There you go." She said as she finished. We are still standing close and I just can't take my eyes off her. "Let's make sure to take a lot of photos, Today." She said after a long pause.

"Huh!?"

"So that you can stare at me all the time."

"Yah!" I threw a light punch on her shoulder and she scooted over.

We went out after chatting with my Mom for a while. She seems to really like Lisa. We had to lie to her that we are just going to hang out with Jisoo Unnie and Chaeyoung. Well, it's not completely a lie.

It was a moderately chilly day. As we walked down the road something caught my eye -- a flower shop across the road. I realized I never gave her flowers and the occasion asks for one. So, I decided to get her some.

"Lisa-yah, wait for me here."

"Why?"

"I need to get something. I will be back soon."
