Twenty Eight.

"Babe, you done packing?", James came to my bedroom with his suitcase already in hand.

"Yup", I said closing my bag's zipper.

I looked around my room to check I wasn't forgetting anything and let him come in to grab my case and take it to the front hall along with his.

"I'm gonna miss you, pal", Jake was hugging Casey when I got there and everyone else was saying goodbye to each other.

"Oh my God, you guys are all so emotional", I teased them. "We'll only be gone for two weeks...", I said not quite believing what I was seeing.

" A lot can happen in a week", Barcs refuted.

"Yeah, what if something happens to you and we don't ever see you again?", Tom snapped at me.

I was left completely dazzed by his words.

"Wooo, dude. That was deep", I said shocked. "Aw, I love you guys", I said going to hug Tom, catching up on their emotions, while each and every one of them joined our group hug.

"Love you too", they all chorused cheekily.

"Babe, we're here", James shook me awake as the bus' lights went on and we entered Chelmsford's bus station.

A very sleepy me got out on the platform while James, really excited about being back home went to get our bags.

"Shouldn't we have some breakfast to give your family some time to wake up or something?", I said seeing he was going directly towards the cabs.

"You really wanna pospose this as much as you can, don't ya?', he asked amused.

I groaned at having been discovered.

"Babe", he said putting down both bags, one on top of the other between his feet, and turning to grab me by each of my sides, "you don't have to worry about anything. They're going to love you... I promise", he reassured me pressing my lips to my forehead while we waited for a taxi to arrive. "Mom's already up waiting for us with breakfast. She loves having a reason to spoil her youngest child", he said winking an eye at me and opening the door of the car for me.

"That's actually where I went to high school".

James pointed out. He was giving me a city tour as we drove past Chelmsford on our way to his house.

"Oh, and look, that's where mom used to take me and Ben to play when we were kids... I can take you for a walk later and show you around", he blabbered excitedly like a little kid.

I couldn't help looking at him lovingly, trying to show me as much about his past as he could, eager to show me off at his parents house as soon as we got there.

"That'll be £16,75", the cab driver finally annouced, stopping in front of a very nice two story house with a neat garden up front.

I couldn't help noticing someone appear behind the curtains and quickly dissapear inside as soon as they saw us.

I lingered outside the cab, looking up at the house, as James finished paying and insisting on carrying both bags to the front porch where suddenly his mum showed up, coming towards us with her arms wide open, ready to embrace her son in a warm hug.

"James, baby! How are you?", she kissed his cheek and he did the same, smiling cheekily at her. "How was your trip? Did you travel comfortably?".

Her son managed to nod at each of her words and questions, and once she saw he was perfectly okay she finally turned to look at me, who'd awkardly remained standing there smiling at each of them because: how cute were they?
