Forty One.
James' POV.
"What are you doing in here?!", she placed a hand on her boobs and wrapped herself tighter with her towel as if that way she could cover herself more or something.
I snickered in the back of my mind cockily.
"I'd just finished showering when you came in", I tried to focus on what was really going on.
But to be honest, this wasn't so bad. For me anyway.
"And why didn't you say something?", she barked.
"'Oh, yeah. Hi, Belle. I'm in the changing box. Don't freak out'", I mocked. "I was supposed to be out by the time you came out of the shower. What was the point?", I tried to remain calm. "Or did you prefer me to irrupt in the shower to tell you I was here?", I smiled cheekily.
"Oh, shut up", she rolled her eyes, definitely not amused in the slightest.
"Like I said, looks like we're gonna be in here for a while", I made myself comfortable and sat down on the floor since like I'd said it looked like we were gonna be in here for a while.
She stood next to the door awkwardly, not knowing what to do.
"Are you gonna stand there the whole while or are you gonna change?", I asked trying to make her realize it was ridiculous.
"I left my clothes in my room", she blushed.
My stomach went rigid at her words. Before I overthought it too much, I took off my shirt and handed it over to her.
"Here, put this on".
"I don't need your sympathy. Keep it", she refused, coldly.
"Okay, stiff. Don't need you to be bitter at me", I left the shirt beside me on the floor already regretting I'd even suggested it.
Fine. Let her freeze to death. For all I cared...
I saw her as she went and sat down on the bathroom countertop as far away from me as possible.
Neither of us spoke, so we remained silent. A couple of minutes later she started looking at her own nails.
This is fucking ridiculous.
"Can you please put the shirt on?", I asked about to lose it.
Silence and people ignoring me are not a good combination.
"Why? Am I making you uncomfortable?", she smiled knowingly.
"No. You're gonna get cold", I put on a blank expression so she couldn't know what was I thinking.
"And why do you care? You know, this brings us back to our conversation at the pie sale. What's with the change of mood, James?", she caught me completely by surprise.
Why was she so cocky? And straighfoward? And confident? Why did she reject me so much?
She didn't deserve to know everything there was about me.
She didn't care... Why was I wasting my time and letting my guard down for someone who didn't even deserve it?
Someone who was more of a cold bitch than me.
"Fine, whatever", she finally hopped down and went to change into my shirt. "Happy?", she asked 10 seconds later as she emerged from the box already changed.
Holy cow.
For a minute I forgot how to breathe and even got dizzy. Yeah, as Romeo cheesy as it sounds. It wasn'f fair how short my shirt looked on her, how tight the fabric went around her thighs...
