Thirty Five.

James' POV.

"See you later babe", Mila said as I pecked her once and finished buttoning up my shirt, ready to leave.

I'd been spending way too much time here since coming back to uni. To an outsider we would seem like a couple. I didn't spend time with anyone else other than her. Female company, of course.

But she and I knew the truth. We just used each other. And we were both fine with it. We were both fine with the kind of relationship we had.

I'm not even sure what I'd do if she told me she'd developed feelings for me. That would probably mess things up.

I was 100% sure I didn't even like Mila. Other than for sex. Yeah, it was shallow and selfish but it was the truth.

Maybe I should end whatever relationship we had going on...

I'd never really taken into consideration girls feelings... I was a dick. But lately whatever Paula thought about me really bugged me. How would I feel if someone treated her that way? I'd literally hate the guy. My dad was a true example of what a gentlemen should be like. And I actually kind of envied them for the relationship they have. They are so lucky and I'm not sure they even know it...

When I looked up next I noticed I'd already made it back to the house. And when I paid attention to my surroundings once again I noticed all the boys coming out of the house and coming in my direction.

I couldn't help noticing Belle was with them. I smiled in the back of my mind at the sight of her. This was the first time I didn't feel bothered by her presence...

Guess I saw her so much I'd ended up believing she wasn't so bad.

"Mate, just don't ask what this is about. Don't get the wrong impression", Jake's voice brought me back to Earth.

"What are you...?", I started asking him with a frown on my face what was he talking about but was interrupted by Jake's kiss.

Full on the lips might I add.

"What the fuck are you doing Jake?", I pushed him away laughing.

Belle unvoluntarily smiled, matching my wide grin, not being able to help it. It's when you laugh at someone's laugh and not at what their laughing about, because maybe you don't even know what they're laughing about in the first place.

"Little bit of truth or dare", Barclay caught my attention, as he explained, drewing on his already lit cigar.

"Aww, I'm heartbroken. You guys didn't wait for me", I teased as we all made our way back inside.

"You didn't miss that much. Belle made us watch The Notebook", Jake rolled his eyes as we walked inside.

That's when Belle and I locked eyes since I'd joined them. I smiled at her, imagining all the boys expressions as she made them watch a romantic movie. God, I hated those movies. Luckily I wasn't even home for that. Surely, Barcs, Chris and Charlie loved it. They were the sensitives one.

"So who's turn is it?", I asked as we all sat down on the floor in a circle.

"Barcs", Reece said.

"Truth or dare?", Casey asked him.

"Dare. I'm not scared of anything", he replied cockily.

Everyone except for Barclay leaned in as we tried to come up with a good dare that would make him not want to choose it ever again.

"What if...", we all turned around to look at Belle, "we make him walk down the street wearing only a thong", she giggled at the though.

"Ooooh, mischievous", Jake laughed as we all did.
