When the puppy was asleep, Luke and I were left in an unnecessary silence. It bothered me.
"I wanted to talk to you," Luke said, causing me to shift me gaze from the puppy to him.
"About what?" I asked, though I knew damn well what it was about.
"Our special night," He elaborated. I nodded for him to continue. "I never should of gotten that mad at you."
"Yeah," I trailed off.
"Yeah, especially after what you did for me, it was fucked up," He ran a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, I was just mad." He sighed and brought his hand back to his lap, "Baby- I mean Alyssa, I didn't mean it."
I nodded, understanding his apology.
"You're forgiving me?" He asked.
I nodded again, "I probably shouldn't but I need to."
He smiled and leaned forward to kiss me.
"Peace is restored in paradise," He joked.
