Part 3

Sarah screamed in pain. Blood was everywhere. Sarah had never felt something so excruciating. The men started to get up as she tried to run with a bullet right below her knee. Then out of nowhere a black car came and a man picked her up and carefully put her in the back of the car, they sped off. 

The man driving the car was black and had an eye patch over his eye. He started to speak "Try to keep it elevated and put pressure right around the knee." Sarah could barely speak," Who are you?" 

The man answered," You can call me Mr.Fury I'm a.... family friend." All these questions were running through her mind but she was too weak to ask.

"Ohhhh," Sarah moaned,"it hurts." "Ok we're at your house your dad will tend your wounds," Mr. Fury said. She opened the car door and wobbled to the back of the house.

Sarah painfully moved inside and sat against the wall. Steve heard the door open and went to see what it was. He saw his daughter's face was bruised and blood was pouring below her. She was barely awake and aware. Something switched in his head that made him sad and angry.

 "Oh Dear God," Steve said under his breath. Steve bent down and placed a hand on the side of Sarah's face ignoring the blood seeping through his pants as he knelt down. "It hurts so bad," she groaned. 

It killed Steve to see Sarah in this much pain. "Bucky,.. Buck!" Steve yelled. Bucky ran in the kitchen. "Yeah Ste-,"he stopped when he saw the girl with dark red liquid under her. "Oh Sarah,"Bucky whispered in horror.

 "Help me pick her up and put her on an elevated service,"Steve commanded. Sam walked in,"Oh my God !"Sam stared at Sarah,"who is that?"Later we will tell you,"Bucky answered the question. The men put her in a chair while they tied a long piece of fabric around the top of her knee. "The bleeding won't stop unless the bullet is removed," Steve said. You could tell he was emotional, filled with confusion and anger toward the ones who did this to her.

"Hey Sam can you go get a glass of water for her please?"asked Bucky. Sam left as Bucky began to speak again,"I think we need to take her to avengers hospital if, i'm not saying this is but if it was a assassination attempt of kidnapping it would be hard to explain to the doctors." Steve stared at his daughter with sorrowful eyes and nodded. "Let's Hurry and go," Steve said as they began to pick her up and carry her to the car. 

Sam drove separately while Steve rode in the back of the car with Sarah and Bucky drove.Thousand of thoughts were running through Steve's mind why did they want to kill Sarah, did they know that she was his daughter, did they want revenge.

Sarah moaned in pain. Steve still kept a tight grip on her hand as she was laying against his chest.When they finally reached the "makeshift" hospital Steve carried her in. Sam got their first due to Bucky driving slow so they didn't make Sarah hurt worse. 

Knowing the Avengers headquarters hasn't seen Steve in a while they were skeptical of him bringing a girl in.They took Sarah to one of the rooms to be treated. Him, Sam, and Bucky were sitting in the waiting room after they just got coffee. Steve sat with his head in his hands.Then Sam spoke up," So what has happened here?"

 Bucky answered for Steve," Sarah is Sharon Carter and Steve's daughter. Sharon left right after she was born. Also she doesn't know about any of our past including that Steve was Captain America." Sam sat there wide eyed and stunned," D-daughter. Is that why you retired?"

 Steve finally spoke up,"That's one of the main reasons." "Why did you keep her secret?" Sam asked. "I didn't want her to get hurt.If she knew about all this I was afraid she would be targeted," after a pause he spoke again,"I'm afraid that has already happened."

Later after they took out the bullet in her leg and stitched it up Steve walked in and sat beside his daughter. "Hey princess," he said as he took hold of her hand. "Whats up Dad!" Sarah laughed because she was given pain medicine and was now woopy. 

Steve laughed out loud, happy that she was ok. "You gave me a scare though," he laughed but had a few tears roll down his cheek. "Daddy, why are you crying?" Sarah asked. "Because if I lost you my life would be too boring," Steve chuckled. 

Sarah laughed,"Well football games are too boring I wanted to add some excitement." "Well please don't do that again,"Steve laughed. A little bit later the nurse came in and told him to leave so Sarah could rest. Steve bent over and kissed her on the forehead," Bye princess." "Bye daddy," Sarah said,"Oh yeah and daddy don't shave the beard you look better with it."

 "Gotcha," Steve walked out the door as Sarah fell asleep. In the control room Steve ran into some other friends. "Well if it isn't the devil straight from hell,"Tony Stark smirked.

Steve smiled and shook Tony's hand, "Good to see you too Tony." "So what brings you to Avengers Mansion?"Tony asked.Steve let out a breath, "I'm going to have to explain everything to all of yall." Tony nodded skeptically, "Later then." 

Tony walked out of the room. Then Bucky began to speak, "When she is off the medicine how are you gonna tell her?" Steve sighed, " Be honest is the best chance I have," he replied." But before I tell her anything I need her to tell me what happened and how she got shot,"Steve said. It was hard for him to say that someone shot his own daughter.
