Sarah was walking home from school one day when Peter ran up to her. "Hey," he said.

"Hey," Sarah blushed as she answered.

Where are you going?" Peter asked. "Home,'' she stated shyly.

They talked about random things until she saw this man put up a poster on the side of this graffitied wall. Sarah and Peter went to look at what was tacked on the wall.

Disgusted looks were on their faces as they saw that poster. It was a picture of some of the avengers and behind them was ruins of parts of the city and deceased people laying down with pools of blood under them. On the bottom of the sign it said, "Look what these HEROES have done for us. It is america's civil right to banish people like them."

Sarah tore the poster from the wall, crumpled it up and threw it into the closests trash can, "I can't believe America is believing these filthy lies."

Peter didn't say anything just stared appallingly. He breathed deep and then turned to Sarah and said, "Let me show you something fun." Sarah raised an eyebrow, "Like what?" Pete smirked and held a finger out motioning her to wait. He went behind the wall and came out after a few seconds. "Oh my goodness," Sarah smiled forgetting about the poster.

Peter was now wearing a red and blue uniform with a spider in the middle of his chest. He spun around showing off his attire. Sarah couldn't stop smiling. "Wanna take a spin?" Peter asked. She opened her mouth but before she could speak Sarah was right up to Spider Man's chest. "Hold on tight," Pete smirked.

Off they went, it felt like she was flying. Sarah was laughing as they swung from building to building. She looked down and saw the cars and people. She held on tight but loved the feeling of being on top of everything. Peter and Sarah stopped on the top of a skyscraper. The sun was setting and the view was magnificent. "Ok," she tried to be serious, "that might have been a little fun." She laughed and hugged Peter thanking him for the swing.

Sarah hurriedly stepped back embarrassed, "Sorry." Peter's laugh was adorable, "That's ok. But I better get you home or Steve will kill me."

He took her hand and jumped off the building. Sarah screamed not expecting it, but then just like that they were flying in between towers. They reached Sarah's house and he set her down on the porch. Her hair was in a disarray but she didn't care. "Thanks. That was...amazing,"She said. Peter took off the mask. His hair was crazy but neither of them cared.

"Maybe again sometime?"He smiled as he asked. Sarah nodded. "Well I have to go," she blushed as she pointed towards the door. "Yeah, yeah bye," He said smiling, and with that he put the mask back on and swung away. "Bye Peter," she whispered and stepped through the door.

More posters were hung including advertisements and commercials. Stark industries profits were slowly decreasing. Whenever people saw one of the avengers they hid their child from them or made much effort in ignoring them. The Captain Americas exhibition in the museum was by law removed. The United States was giving up the people who have kept this beloved country safe since the 1940's.

-Days Later-

Steve was sitting at the kitchen island on his laptop when Sarah came in. "Hey Dad," she said as she walked to the refrigerator and took out something to drink. "Hey princess what's up?" Steve asked, not looking away from the computer. "Mmm nothing," she sat down next to him and looked over his shoulder, "but I kinda wanted to ask you something." Steve turned to her, "What's that?"

She took a sip of her drink and began to speak, "What was it like back in uh World War Two?" He tightened his lips and nodded, "It was hard. It was war, the killing and the deaths, nothing I want you to see someday, he stopped and looked at his hands folded on the table, "there was this girl, beautiful, strong girl who helped me become Captain America. Her name was Peggy." He smiled, mentioning her name.

"She must have meant a lot to you." Sarah said sympathetically. Steve nodded, "She was. I was talking to her before I crashed in the ice. I promised to dance with her that next monday, but I never got the chance." Sarah went up to hug her dad, "I'm sorry."

"Yeah but if I never crashed then I wouldn't be able to have you as my princess," He hugged her back and kissed the side of her head. "Well I was going to go meet Peter at the frozen yogurt place if that's ok. He is going to help me with my math test," She said putting on her shoes. "I don't know Sarah," Steve hesitated.

"Dad, we are just friends and he happens to be good at math," She reassured. He sighed, "Ok but be back before dark. Do you hear me?" "Yes dad, bye dad." Sarah said as she laughed. "Bye Sarah," He chuckled.

As Sarah was walking the streets towards the frozen gogurt restaurant she looked up at the billboards and signs spread out through the upper part of the city. The posters made her mad but she was beginning to get used to the lies these signs portrayed.

Sarah walked past an antique window displaying a Captain America toy soldier. She stopped and looked at the mini action figure that kids honored as a American hero. Right next to him was a mini Iron man and a Spiderman. Seeing this she remembered where she had to be in ten minutes.

Sarah began to walk away but accidentally ran into a man in the middle of the sidewalk. "Im sor-," She began to apologize but when she looked at his face she saw the same blue eyes and scar from the one who kidnapped her. A breath caught in her throat. He pulled her into an alley way but before she could get away he put a damp napkin to her mouth. Breathing in the drug she felt the world grew blurry and her head was spinning. The next thing Sarah saw was black.
