KEIRA'S FIRST DAY nearly ended as the darkness of the night has clouded onto Christophsis as well, the warmth loosing the air and everythings getting colder, embracing them into the usual sleep state.
The red-haired woman stood aside R2-D2, her arms crossed in front of her chest and her entire weight onto her right foot watching the Clone Captain Rex as he had taken the head of the commando droid and laid it onto the table in front of them, putting the scanning cabels into it.
"The Republic Army is in the north and south towers, level 46.", the decapitated droid spoke out their position, making the Captain sigh in puzzled. "It just.. doesn't make sense." Keira looked at him, while walking over to them as well, R2 still aside her. Of course, he had wheeped in such a happiness, that Cody nearly was about to deactivate the droid.
"Of course it doesn't.", Keira said, while leaning her arms onto the table with the two clones. "But actually it does." Cody raised his eyebrows, sharing a confused look with his brother, who stared completely unbothered at the young woman. "We're at war.. What is the best kind of making someone betray their own kin?", she asked, earning suspicious glances from Cody and Rex.
"You're the bounty hunter, you better tell us.", Cody said, his eyes telling her that he didn't trust her and thought she was the traitor. "Money is always an issue, Commander Cody," the red-haired woman said. "I was a Jedi myself before they tried to expell me for my emotional connection to my battalion, so don't worry, I'm definitely, 100% sure I'm not the traitor."
Rex raised an eyebrow at Keira, his brown orbs now aimed at the red-haired woman. He wondered what the Jedi Council's problem was all along.
"I'm sorry, Castus, but you just don't know who to trust and who not.. First of all, even bounty hunters aren't exactly the nicest people, unless you have enough money to offer."
The former Jedi chuckled at the Commander when she gave him a small, gentle smile. "I don't judge your aspects and your distrust in me," she explained, looking at the droid in front of them, which was making electronic hissing noises and suddenly shorting out. "And there's even less reason to trust me, but there's one thing you both need to know about me."
Rex and Cody looked at the young woman, curiosity flashing in the two brothers' eyes as they shared a short glance. "I have never lost my allegiance to the clones, especially in front of my battalion. Sinker and Wolffe have always remained loyal after all these years, so I will always give them and their brothers back what they gave me."
Keira sighed and shook her head, her expression darkening into a sad look. "But that doesn't matter either way, I'm here to support you and not to enlighten you about my past. What you all need to know, you already know and that's all that matters."
